Dreaded fuel pump issue

    Toytec 2.5, leveling kit, AFE intake, Dirty Deeds exhaust, tuned, overland tune.
    Hello everyone. Long time listener, first time caller. My 2018 limited ffv died suddenly on the highway 2 days ago. Felt like it ran out of gas but gauge read 1/4 tank. Got it to a Toyota mechanic and after a thorough check, he found that it did run out of gas. The fuel sending unit is faulty and doesn’t go below 1/4 on the gauge. It had the new pump installed through the recall two yrs ago but I always fill at half tank so I would’ve never known. Anyone else had this happen?
