I didn't buy the Tundra for fuel economy. My Gen 2.5 gets 13.5 MPG average no matter what I do. Here is before and after highway MPG. Same road, same speed, same 1.5 hour trip just in reverse. Bumper changed and active air dam removed.

I expect the 1MPG drop is from the Air Dam removal. Of course it's not really a fair comparison since one direction is going to be more downhill than the other.

That bumper looks great! What company/model is that?

There is no such thing as downhill in South Louisiana.

Southern Style Offroad. I think the only option is bull bar or no bull bar.

I have a C4 Fab just like it being delivered tomorrow. Crazy how similar they look! Can't wait! Just have to get it powder coated.

It was a tough decision between the C4 and what I bought. I like the C4 with the full headlight loops better than mine but I like the SSO install better. It doesn't move the radar cruise sensor. I used the CBI air dam delete. Seems to be working so far.

Well it looks fantastic! Nice move! I'll post up my C4 when I get it installed in a couple weeks or so. Funny, but the only reason why I got it is because my dad crashed into my bumper when he was parking in front of my house a couple months ago. Not messing with insurance, and out of pocket for the C4 is basically he same as having a body shop fix to OEM spec. Though I went all out and got BD light bar and amber floods.

The fogs I have go amber or white, if I wire them up. I'm thinking about adding round spots on top of the bull bar.

This is my Gen 2.5. I put an Expedition One bumper on it right after I bought it. It has paid for itself in minor bumps and one boat trailer dragged around the front of my truck over the 10 years I've had it. Rust reformer black spray paint matches almost perfectly for touch ups.Tundra 2016.jpg .

I like Expedition One, I've been running one with a short bull bar on my FJ for the past 11 years. They were a great company to work with and even gave a discount for being first responder when I called in my order. Definitely a fan of steel bumpers. Mine has shrugged off a lot of damage that would have trashed a factory bumper.

Tint and wheels. Decked box in the bed. S and B Cold Air filters under the hood. Shiftpower throttle response controller.
I like the attack angle with that bumper. But.......

You're not wrong and my wife said it looked wimpy.
I really didn’t like any of the options out there. This one had the least negatives. On the plus side they are localish.

Nope no elevation change at all except bridges and overpasses.

There's no way to avoid it with that aggressive attack angle.
