My truck did the flashing at me last winter after I was in 4Lo and got stuck so I had to giver to get out. Once in a while I get the flashing. I disconnect the neg battery terminal and it went away for a few months. It came back on twice this week. Anyone know what that’s indicating?
    Thanks!

Have you checked it with an OBD reader? Get the codes. See what it says first.

Mine will act up and do the same thing randomly for absolutely no reason out of the blue. And then not do it again for like a year lol. Usually a shut down and restart fixes it. If not, a battery reset should. I haven't had to do that yet. The odd time it's happened when a 4wd shift isn't completed properly or if it's driven, started or shut down while the 4x4 light is flashing. Second gen things lol

I actually went out Monday and after I tried to cycle back to 2HI I got the beeping 4Lo light. I put the truck in N, turned it off.
Turned it back on and cycled the switch to 4Hi and then 2Hi before it went away. I think the position sensors inside the
actuator are to blame, but I'm not taking it apart to deal with that yet. Maybe someone with experience will show up with
    constructive advice.

    I got the codes,
sooo, 4 Lo isn’t flashing anymore. My engine light was flashing and the tranny was shaking like a SOB. End of the world shit. Turned of the engine, restarted it and it went away and is driving perfect. I do however have to change a wheel bearing, abs/speed sensor and an air intake valve on bank 2. I’m hoping it’s all about the same code. The code will never tell you specifics….you have to go through them all to figure out that a fuse is gone lol
