I purchased a 2020 Tundra TRDPro about a month ago. I have been a Ford die-hard my whole life but a buddy of mine who is an engineer with Peterbilt finally convinced me to try the Tundra...specifically with the 5.7. I love this thing! My only issue is the gas mileage. I came to this site hoping to find a place where I could auction off a kidney so I can afford the gas. Just a thought for the moderators. ;)

Looking forward to MANY years of driving this thing.

Ha! About 98% of us here with the 5.7 don't worry about gas mileage. We spend money on gas and mods. :D

Math and financial decisions will now take on a whole new meaning and perspective...

Any time you are thinking about new parts, accessories or mods for your Tundra, you simply break it down into 'tanks of Tundra fuel' or TTF for short!!!

    Let me explain...

Let's say you're wanting to upgrade your tundra w/a new headunit that's $800. Well, with your new way of thinkng, it's ONLY 8 tanks of Tundra fuel or (8) TTF for the new headunit.... Minimal expense, so do it out of petty cash.

This logic also applies to shopping, excursions, and other wares outside of Tundra paraphernalia. Let's see you come across a really nice bottle of bourbon that you've been wanting to try, but are hesitant because it's $600. Well, with your new way of thinking, it's ONLY 6 tanks of Tundra fuel. Again, when put in that perspective, it a minimal expense, so just do it!!!!!

Even in more extreme circumstances, the same logic applies. Let's say you've decided to add boost to your new Tundra Pro, because... why not??
So, after piecing everything together you're becoming hesitiant at the $10-$12k price point. However, once you put that into your new perspective, you realize it's only 100-120 tanks of Tundra fuel...
Buuuuuuttttttt.... you quickly realize, once you've added boost, you can now only use premium fuel :burnrubber:

So, each tank of Tundra fuel, now cost more. In other words, that supercharger, that bottle of bourbon, that new headunit will all cost you LESS tanks of Tundra fuel (TTF) based on your new 'boosted' perspective!!!!! :D

    You're welcome :hattip:

This is why I research and drive all brands in the segment of truck I'm looking at. You really can miss out on some quality trucks.

Check the alignment. The toe in specs are a bit more than I like and it eats tires/fuel.

You didn't buy the truck for a Prius gas mileage. You bought the truck to tow the Prius. :D.

I loved the 5.7. Pictures of your truck?

    Welcome to the site.
