So, I installed the dasaita unit, and most people have issues with the swc's, but that works great on mine. My question is... Has anyone else noticed the loss of individual speaker control. I have the jbl system, and all sound is coming from the front two channels of the dasaita unit. If I turn the fronts down, all music stops and if I adjust the rear or sub, noting happens. Does anyone know a fix for this without bypassing and installing all aftermarket amps. Thanks!

I don't know what is wrong but it looks like the OEM HU only sends the OEM amp right and left.
The OEM amp splits that signal up to front and rear, center, sub...

My guess is you need to bypass that OEM amp and properly wire your HU to the speakers.

    Good luck..

Thanks for that. That makes sense. The individual pan/speaker controls were probably controlled through CAN-bus, and with the dasaita, it's probably a lost feature.

The hu controls the fader and balance through the amp.
It's like that on older Tundras too.
The dasaita probably can't send those signals.

It's the JBL that makes it difficult, same for the older Tundras.
The non-JBL would probably work fine with your Dasaita HU.
It has output for front/rear and left/right, from the HU to the speakers.

Not sure what all outputs your new HU has, but I'm pretty sure either bypassing the OEM amp, or replacing it with an after market amp would be the answer.
Just not sure how you would power your center speaker..

Powering the center speaker is easy. If I am going through the trouble of bypassing the amp, it will get all new components, and a 5 ch Amp, and new sub and Amp. The diagram you provided explains why it do what it do!

I'm not sure of the layout of your 2007, like whether it has the tweeters in the front door sails.
But when replace my HU, door speakers and replaced the OEM amp with a 5 channel, I ended up disconnecting all three dash speakers.
I put Focal PS 165 FXE speakers in my front doors, Focal Performance 165AC in the rear doors, and replaced the amp with an Alpine PDX-V9.
Those speakers gave me a great front-stage presence, and the dash speakers were too into my face.

If I had to do it over again I would have bought a JL Audio HD Series HD900/5, and probably a different sub setup.
The JL Audio Stealthbox® I have is a bit overkill for my needs..

    Good luck..
