Yeah....I have to stay away from high performance vehicles and be satisfied with a supercharged Tundra.
I've come close to losing my license when I was riding crotch rockets back in the day.
I'd like to think I've matured in my old age but I know myself.....
In fact I've gotten worse the older I get.
Seams ya have to go faster to get that rush when ya get old.

I don't know, after trying out a 5.7, I think it has too much power. 4.6 is where it's at. Perfect gear shifts paired with just the right amount of torque. Bigger motor tends to run through gears quicker. I was struggling to hit 1500rpm in town before shit occurred into next gear.

Supercharged vehicles are probably even worse unless you have maybe three gears.

Reading back through this thread.... definitely had some twists and turns.

I have a buddy that just had a GM engine failure on a C7 Corvette. Most likely lifter issues due to cylinder deactivation. Glad I didn't go that route even being a lifelong GM guy.

I do wish that the Shelby GT500's would have been more available and around 5-7k cheaper, but the Roush has been a rather fun car that cost 25k less due to the deal I found in Nebraska.

Next will be the retirement truck. That will be a fun one to research. Went and looked at the 2025 Ram with the new Cummins. They are so overpriced I won't even consider them (most likely).

Hmmm...My Tacoma had the TRD Supercharger which of course is made by Magnuson.
It Hauled ASS!!! And it was a manual.
I kinda find it hard to believe that Supercharging a Tundra with the 5.7 is going to be any different.
And I cant say I've ever came across a truck with to much HP!!!
Oh...and when you say you tried out the 5.7 are you saying it was Supercharged?

Well....wont be long now and I'll be able to give you a review/report on just how well the Magnuson does with the 5.7....
If it improves performance on par with the TRD unit I'm gonna be very happy with it!!!
