I very well could have worded it better or more specifically. Either way, thanks for the help!

Do you have a suggestion on the fuse size by chance? That’s definitely something I’m horrible at judging and honestly, even though I’m precautious, didn’t even think of. :|

The way I have it wired it would be simple enough to add to both the power wire and the turn signal wires.

I have the vent lights and the grill lights both connected to the same 12v source (pink/purple wire I mentioned before). The yellow turn signal wire runs to the turn signal wire (bottom row, far right) on each corresponding CANBUS style headlight plug. I’ll put links below for reference.

Hopefully nothing will ever go wrong, but with cheap Chinese LED add-ons you never know.
Not to say you did anything wrong, because I use them too.

So, on the vent lights, they are white with the headlights and blink amber with the turn signals.
    Is that correct?
Then you have the white vent and upper grill lights connected to that headlight pink wire.
    Correct?

As to the upper white and white vents lights I'd say a 3 amp fuse would work.
Maybe a 5 amp if it blew.
    Those LEDs draw little power.

It is just a safeguard if they shorted out somehow.
Likely they won't, but better safe than sorry.

The pink headlight wire you tapped off of is a 7.5 amp OEM fuse.

The OEM main fuse to the flasher circuit is 10 amps
I'd use a 3 or 5 amp fuse if you decided to fuse it.

I have that 2 amp fuse tapped off the parking light circuit of the front left headlight.

It powers 3 LEDs on the top of the grille and the LEDs in my Rigid pod foglights.

Thanks a ton for this man! I’ll get out there tomorrow and put an inline fuse in place as I’m pretty sure I have a couple laying around. If not, I know for sure I have a bunch of “add a fuse”, so I’ll use one of those and tap into something that only comes on with the ignition.

Thanks again for mentioning the fuse; I think with my confusion on how to wire these lights up to the CANBUS headlights I completely overlooked that.

I agree that there’s a likelihood that these will never short out, but, like you said, it’s better to be safe. It sure would suck to have $50 lights cause $5000 in damage!!!

One question for you; if I did use an “add a fuse” do you know offhand which might be switched with the ignition, and also appropriate to use a 5amp fuse tap with? All of my wiring is on the passenger side; below is a picture of the fuse box lid.

I’m sure I could poke around with a multimeter and figure it out, but you sound super familiar with these trucks so I figured you might know offhand.

    Maybe someone could help you.
    I don't have a Gen 3, I have a Gen 2.5, 2014.

The Gen 3 trucks are way more complicated.

The wiring diagrams I've posted here can be found in this thread.
Ultimate TUNDRA Wiring Diagrams Collection | Toyota Tundra Forum

You can look thru the 14 pages of POWER SOURCE and see which of those fuses are BAT always on or IGN when the truck is on.
Or hopefully someone else can chime in.
I've never used an 'add a fuse'.
I've also either used existing wiring or run my wires from the battery..

I found a blank ignition slot as circled below. Thanks!
