I also ordered mine in September and haven’t received it yet. It’s been a few months since I contacted him.

Y'all are entirely too nice...I ordered a pair of shoes online and waited 2 mos for them. Little to no comms from the company. I filed a complaint with the consumer affairs bureau, left bad Yelp/Google/FB reviews, found a FB group specifically for disgruntled buyers of this company's products, and finally got AMEX to do a chargeback.

In the end I got the shoes after a long wait, but I'll never buy from them again.

I get trying to be nice and even waiting it out for a bit…..support small business owner, etc. BUT once the person because a douchebag of epic proportions, all bets are off. The guy is non responsive and even confrontational and dares people to take action AFTER he has their money. The guy should be working 20 hours a day to catch up with the orders or hire more people to help. Waiting this long for a product that you paid for and having the owner be a dickhead?!?! Craziness

That’s why I supported Tig weld. Small business owner for one. Two being in Texas. Three genuinely a nice guy over the phone…well here we are still waiting. The last time I’ll support a small business.

just read thru this as I was looking at the Canadian option..... I live in Houston when not in Va for work.... I could swing by his "shop" later this week when I get home or does he have one ? ......I can play stupid and see what I can learn.....

We had a few vendors run this route in the Landcruiser world..... sad, but they need to be held accountable and the community warned.

Too nice isn't what I would say. It's almost like they are okay with being taken advantage of. And that's just crazy to me.

No answer other than I did everything I could to get my money back while also doing everything I could to destroy this awful human, isn't okay with my personality type. I'm probably just an asshole though. :notsure:

I have no dog in this fight, but I do wish to give my opinion on a couple of things I have seen mentioned. The idea of going to his place, or showing up, one of my words of caution is to not do that!

While I have not seen anything personally, the very notion of "dropping in" on someone, especially like this, you may be opening yourself up to more issues than not.

He may be fine talking with you face to face, then again, if he is willing to do what he has done, he is not someone I would trust from one action to the next.

Again, I have nothing with this, and I don't know him, but I would hate for anyone on this board to get hurt or find themselves at the receiving end of a legal battle because he is willing to lie about what happened in the encounter. If he is willing to engage his customers in the manner he has done, I would not put it past him to draw legal matters or anything else.

But, that is just my .02. And if any LEO on this board would be willing to share, I think I know enough about LE, to share this concern.

ETA: There have been several good suggestions. Report him to the State Attorney, go through your credit cards, use your bank, anything legal that gets you either your item or your money. I would encourage that route.

I never cared for this Tig weld creations guy or his fanboys when his product first hit the forum.
First of all he wanted to sell his shit here without Vendor status.
His disciples ranted and raved on a system they only knew from product development, hearsay, pictures, and video clips.
Few even had the product installed or ordered.
They would rant on how beautiful the system was, you know, the system under the truck NO ONE WILL EVER SEE..

Then his fanboys trashed @dirtydeeds and his BBQ-painted systems.
Keith and company have given me and several of us top-tier customer service.
I've been a customer of his since 2015, and he has made 3 systems for me.
You call him and if he doesn't answer, he responds within a day or 2.
Never a problem with product, shipping, payment, credit issued for a returned item, or ETA of product delivery.
Not one issue or problem in 10 years and 4 to 5 separate orders.

To those of you waiting for a Tig weld creations product, get your money back.
I laugh at any of you who post 'I saw my name at the top of the list'.
    Gee, who made that list?

He told me mine was going to ship:
    yesterday
    last week
    last month
    last year

STOP IT, he's taken your money and run with it.
Either take steps to get your money back or STFU..

    Have a nice day..

I’ve already came to the conclusion my money was donated. I’ve had a few conversations with him talking about dirty deeds. It was crazy. I wish I went with dirty deeds at the time. My system is staying stock. Maybe in a few years I may change it.

That is an unfortunate stance. There are PLENTY of honest, straight up small businesses out there. Don't let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch.
One just needs to do their due diligence before purchasing.

I'll be honest and say that I WAS one of those that was swayed by his all-stainless construction and pretty welding. (OOOOH, shiny!)
I also may have (incorrectly) been in the camp that talked out of my ass about Dirty Deeds black painted systems. Mea Culpa.

Regardless of all that, while I sympathize with your situation, I still can't fathom not doing everything possible to get my money back.

I cannot recommend Dirty Deeds enough. I would love to get another one of his exhaust on my truck. It did not have a bad drone, but when I got into it, I had the rumble I wanted. Not too loud, not too quiet. Even my wife was happy with it.

I would recommend them again in a heartbeat. I know it is a lot of money going out, but if you can get it, I would encourage you to do so.

ETA: I may ask him about my new truck. I won't be able to get one right away, but for the future.

I should have worded that differently. I totally support small businesses. One bad Apple shouldn’t ruin the bunch. It’s just a shame he’s doing this to hard working folks and doesn’t get it. One of his lines is if you’re stressed I’m stressed too. How can you be stressed when you’ve already taken people’s money.

What others have said. TBH I have no dog in this particular fight as I don't have a cat-back exhaust (yet :D).

With that said...one thing I did want to mention. I don't know this for sure - it's purely an assumption - but oftentimes I feel like people will wait longer and give people more benefit of the doubt if they're a sole proprietorship or small business. And that's understandable...but in this particular case? There's all KINDS of proof that the guy is jacked up. I've got one of the early build cat protector plates from the guy who's not Talon's Garage lol (I forget his name) and even in THAT case, the guy put out a LOT more information.

It's your hard earned money, and you're entitled to spend it how you want. You're ALSO entitled (legally and otherwise) to recoup the money if someone doesn't deliver. I wouldn't waste any more daylight on this guy - UNLESS you plan on suing him or something, in which case, go right ahead.

I’d avoid doing this, he could care less about you talking about forum members he screwed over. He will just tell you to get out or label you a trespasser. Not worth the risk of stopping by unless he has some of your money, and even then, I’d take a more legal approach.

I did say I would do everything I could to destroy this human. For clarification that would mean:

Legal action to cause him to invest time into defending himself. This will also include the financial loss he would incur in having to refund you and possibly a lot of other customers who have yet to receive his products.

Posting on Facebook, insta, you tube and any other social he is using to let others know how much of a POS he is. Post all day everyday. If you have time to post here go post on his socials that out him as the shady ass bitch he is.

Contacting the TX state AG, BBB and any other agencies that could hamper him to continue doing business or possibly shut him down.

It seems like a lot of his customers have his cell number and possibly email. Go ahead and sign him up for all the scam websites with text alerts and porn websites. This will only cause him temporary annoyance but he has earned his place in line...

In no way would I advocate for anyone to stop by his shop. There's no benefit to that kind of action.

Better yet, try to get your money back thru the proper channels.
Maybe you will, maybe you won't.
If one cannot, just consider it a lesson learned and move on.

Contact agencies if it makes one feel better, although I doubt it will change anything.

As far as signing him for scam texts and porn websites, just move on.
Doing that doesn't make one any better than the original scammer.
Why waste your time and put out bad karma...

I agree with your thoughts. But here is an idea that I have not had a chance to try but would be fine with. If I am working with a small shop that has no name recognition, and they are trying to get into the market, I would see if they would be willing to work with the customer.

Offer to front the cost for the materials only, or the cost of their labor. When they are ready to ship, ask for photos, and then pay for the shipping. Once received, I pay for either the labor or materials (which ever was not covered).

I know it is a little bit more burdensome to everyone, but if the business wants to get a good start, and the customer wants to be sure, then I am sure they can both be willing to work together and sign an intent to buy contract. Just a thought if there is some doubt.

For shits and giggles, I posted messages to his YT vids telling people to avoid purchasing from him since he takes your money and doesnt deliver. He was religious about taking them down and had YT place timeouts against two of my accounts, lol. And yes, they were bogus YT accounts I was using.
