2006 Tundra transfer case trouble

    2006 Tundra 4x4 I was accelerating from a stop sign and heard a noise ,rear wheels on truck stop pulling , grinding noise, put truck into 4 wheel drive pulled fine transmission shifted fine
    Got me home , appears trouble in transfer case , can someone advice me please

    You need to verify if the rear driveshaft is spinning while driving. You can put it in 4WD while you do that. Use a GoPro cam or similar to be safe, or find a friend you trust not to run over your head.

    If it IS spinning while driving, your problem is in from the tc/transmission tail shaft forward.
    If NOT spinning while drivng, it's likely either your pinion gear or rear differential that ate shit.
    If it's spinning BEFORE the carrier bearing (center support bearing, where the rear driveshaft splits) but not spinning AFTER that carrier bearing, your carrier bearing is certainly bad. Short version: Figure out where your driveshaft stops spinning and you'll know roundabout what failed.

    Just so you understand what's in your rear end, roughly:

    Wholeheartedly disagree. You put the truck in 4WD after the problem happened, which engaged the front wheels. If anything, the transfer case got you home. Seek your problem aft of the transfer case as @shifty` has illustrated.
