I know it's not an option for us. I rented a Chevy a few weeks back and it alerted me when I shit off the car that phones was still in the car.

Yeah my wife's Audi Q5 yells at you when you power off and open the door. "Your cell phone is still in the vehicle"

Custom bug spat pattern hood, grill & bumper. Dead Live Oak leaf collection under hood, cowl and lower fenders. Beach sand custom floor covering.
I have an old fashioned way of remembering things. It only take about 5 seconds. For example for my phone, I picture my driveway and think to take phone out of the pouch where I keep it and place it in my lap.
So, when I see my driveway I'm reminded to grab my phone. This has been working for many years for many different things.

My 3rd gen is even better. When I stop by my GF house and turn off the engine and open the door it yells at me " don't forget the condoms ", but when I come home it yells at me to hide them, so my wife doesn't find outo_O

I do that all the time, and I am only 69. Actually, I purchased the bullet mount, so the phone is front and center in your face... so to speak. I forget it less when there as opposed to being on the charger where it is out of sight out of mind.

Maybe rent a kid, leave him/her in the backseat and give them the phone! Ding Ding Ding!
