What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

These are big calipers

 

Where may I ask did you get your skid plate hardware? I won’t go into the circus that happened when I order a full replacement set Jan 2025 and just now being processed for refund.

 

Have a DYC kit stuck with a forwarder in Atlanta (GA) as airfreighting HAZMAT overseas is too costly and complicated considering the parcel value. I'm prepared to give it away to whoever would pick it up.

 

Looks great! What wheels are those? Also, you got a parts number on the center caps?

New suspension looks real nice, but how are those new frozens doing after a little use now?

He bought the TRD nut plate from @Talon2006 which includes the nut plate and the 2 bolts.

I ordered the hardware kit from Toyota.The solid bar replaced the 2 bolts ,nuts and tabs that hold the rear of the skid plate to the frame but I don't remember who I ordered it from last year.

Jacked up both sides. Used a shovel under the front wheels. No play up and down with either. Also grabbed 12/6 O’clock on both. No noise. But on the driver side grabbing 9/3 O’clock I heard some nose and a bit of movement. Is that tie-rod? Is it possible to upload a video? Not sure if it was just the steering column shaft hitting.

 

Could be or bearing issue

 

Just bought a '16 SR5 off-road with weathertech mats that suck. I'll search _eBay for set of oem TRD Off-Road carpet mats.

 

Headlights?
Is there a mod that exists for automatic high beam off when oncoming car lights sre detected?

 

All those wheels... any shifters?

Finally installed this PITA for the Stillen. It is not easy getting it in by going through the wheel well.

 

Drained and filled my transmission, and stripped the pan check plug Allen hole so now I can't get it out without a bolt extractor...

 

But the horsepower increase is worth it! +1

Did you have to cut the stock box? I am not Looking forward to this install. Stillen is sitting in my garage with the accelerator on it.

 

I did not. I had to pull the liner to trim it anyway for the reservoir so I figured that I would try to install it from the wheel well. No way in hell I was pulling that box out. However, I will be pulling it out at some point as I have a different mounting idea. If it works, I will send it to Stillen.

 

It was a PITA installing the TRD accelerator thru the fender but I used some black electrical tape to hold it in place on the box then screwed the box to the fender which was another PITA.I also change out the POS hardware

 

Gotcha. So I pretty much just have to fold it and shove it through from inside the engine bay while attached to the Stillen box…. great. Should be enjoyable. I have my curse words all lined up. Then have to somehow get the bolts in to attach the box which you all said was a nightmare.

I second the Husky's. I had them on my work truck and they're awesome. If my Tundra didn't come with the TRD Pro mats, I would have gotten the Husky's.

 

Lame! But now you can find a Lexus hex plug to swap it out...after you weld a bolt to it to unscrew...

 

Do you have a part number for that Lexus plug?

Removed the tow mirrors and put my stock mirrors back to complete my oem+ look.

I'm liking the chrome. At first I thought I will get paint matched caps but not anymore.

Happy to get the memory function, folding, bsm, rcta, reverse tilt, and heated functions back.

 

Installed the RCF throttle body from @armyoffoo this afternoon and threw on the TRD air flow accelerator while I was at it. You guys weren’t kidding about a tight fit with the magnuson air tube, what a pain to wrestle that onto the larger throttle body. I ended up using a little dawn dish soap for lubricant which helped, but still had to fight with it going on.
