That sounds like some bad/state insurance. I've never heard of 5k deductible for passenger vehicle. I logged on to mine just to see I can only go $250-$2000 deductible. It was nice of you but I would have gone through insurance.

You don't pay a deductible to fix the other person's car when it's your fault..

The deductible is what you pay to fix your own vehicle when it's your fault.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
    Finally
De-chromed my trim without paying a boat load of money.

A local company wrapped my window trim and door handles in 3M gloss wrap for $250 and I switched out the tailgate handle to gloss black OEM for $39.67

I also installed AVS low profile vent shades.

I heard $5k and I just stared at him. He is in his thirties and to make a decision that poor is beyond me. At that point why even have insurance, but it’s done and an expensive lesson for me as I stare at my truck 5 beers deep. Definitely not being this nice to a stranger probably ever.

I’m pretty sure I got played but I honestly don’t know why I believed him in the moment. I definitely don’t have enough life experience at 24 to judge people like that, but I’m starting to learn lol. I’m hopeful that after some cleaning and buffing I can look at my truck again and the dents will probably have to stay as a reminder to not be so stupid.

Uptick of catalytic converters being snatched around town and my neighbors were cut about a week ago. Installed the Cali Raised Catalytic Converter Shields today, easy peasy and the price was good. Gives me a little piece of mind and the security cam is going up tomorrow.
