It is not babied either. I have occasional washed the mud off of the frame. This year I wiped the frame down with PB blaster.

You and @FirstGenVol would be so proud of how clean I got Penelope's naughty bits. I haven't gotten the cleaner out yet. But I washed all up in her folds and holes :D

She's never been this clean since I took her off-road the first time at HF in 2020.
The interior though... That also needs a lot of work

I checked my truck this afternoon since I had it all apart and both sides turned the same. Maybe worth taking things back apart and making sure the new parts match the old?

The surface of those fogs on mine are ribbed (for your pleasure) so applying anything to them would not really work. Unless it was something that you could heat up and it would mold to the undulations.

Just got back from a quick shakedown trip from SE VA to SW CO with the new trailer to do some last minute turkey hunting and scouting for elk season. That puts me at just under 10k miles in the last 6 weeks....yikes. Time for another oil change and tire rotation in the morning...ugh.

Super tail wind all the way. through KS....15.8mpg

GX brake upgrade and Redarc controller worked flawless. Not like it's a heavy trailer...but still. The 105ah Lithium house battery worked as promised and the 300ah Lithium in the trailer barely hit 90% after 5 days...even with running the LP furnace at night. We got to 22 degrees and flurries at 10k ft.

I put new rear shocks on my 01 today and saw there is a worn out white sticker on the diff. Would that sticker be for anything else than an lsd?

But pics won't do justice to some of the darker corners of the underbody. You know the ones where the mud collects

@w666 and I started on installing new lbj/ Eibach Dobinson on my truck. I will post review after I get some miles on them since I have not really read a ton of Eibach strut reviews for our platform. Ill be happy if they give me a inch up front. New OTR, AND rear eibachs going on as well. 20250517_115138.jpg 20250517_115148.jpg
Thanks to @w666 for the help!

This doesn't look bad, but I think the typical spot in the grille was literally made for us to put a light bar there.

This light bar is too fat for that spot. Barely 1.5 of the 3 led rows is visible

Also discovered my ditchies had some kind of tiny 2amp fuse on them. Weird. Fixed them all up with appropriate sized fuses and they sprang to life. Interested to see if the ditch lights will be brighter now. Wouldn’t make a lot of sense, but I’m just so underwhelmed by them maybe the tiny fuse was the issue.

I replaced my battery today with an H7 (Group 94R) AGM because they are way more affordable than any group 27R AGM (most are deep cycle marine batteries) and you get about 90% of the CCAs and reserve capacity. Had to make a spacer for proper fit using a kneeling pad from harbor freight.

So that battery is safe to use with that TRD bracket?
I thought you had to use the optima style batteries or something. Otherwise the aluminum bracket can corrode
