Bumper black out?

Hey all. Where can I find a cover/solution to blacking out a front bumper on a 2017?

 

HELP @MJoeP ! Anyone??

Quite possibly the best and easiest way. I bought Black TPO covers, have the fronts installed and plan to do the rears soon.

@Eaganite - I checked with bumpershellz. They said they don't sell bumper covers for the red circled part above.

Any other ideas?

 

Is yours not already black? If it's just faded Cerakote is probably your best option if you don't want to have it painted.

 

@RobertD this is an old pic. Check out the gray bumper vs attitude black paint color. The grill, hood, surround, and bumper caps are going to be replaced with oem attitude black, and I’m hoping for an affordable option to black the bumper out.

 

I think that is just faded. The Cerakote should work great for bringing that back to a shiny black

@EC1 your sales rep messaged me and told me you don't have them for that center bumper section for a 2017 tundra... Please tell me he's wrong!

 

Not for that center bumper sections unfortunately The overlays will cover up the upper and lower chrome sections on your grille stache as well as the left and right portions of the front bumper though!

 

Those are bumper caps not the bumper itself. @Arpiland

That front valance is already black. Yours just appears to be faded. You can get it painted, buy a new one from Toyota, or clean and treat it like @RobertD said to restore it.

Cerakote works miracles..
I did the front and rear bumper centers of my 10 year old truck when I installed my TPO bumpershellz..









Used 3 boxes, but I did the camera and tailgate top too.
I also put it on liberally.

You need to follow the directions precisely as instructed.
Clean and DRY before application.

I just got my truck back from the shop after replacing the grille/surround/bumper ends. I actually don't mind the grey bumper contrast against the rest as much as I thought I would.

Mirrors, doors, removing decals, and blacking out emblems next...

 

I had chrome caps. I ended up getting LineX to cover the chrome. It’s not an exact match as the center valance, but I think it compliments its well.
Just providing other options

 

The 1794 actually have two options, one is a lighter silver and one is darker. From what I've read, the darker is not MGM but it's own shade. I think if you wanted to match the original picture, you'd have to get it painted. I've looked down this avenue myself to get rid of the chrome bumper caps.

 

I need to re-do mine. Some has flaked off. How do you guys clean old cerakote in order to reapply? Also, my front black bumper valance is a bit filthy and has some scratches. Any recommendations on how to clean and maybe “buff” it?
