2006 Black Access Cab Tundra TRD
3in Diameter muffler modification for better air flow
I bought my 2006 Tundra TRD 4x4 Access Cab back in 2008 with only 30,000 miles. It was my snow truck for years while I had a commuter car for normal driving. My Tundra now has just under 130,000 miles and I have decided to start modifications to it. I no longer use the truck as my snow vehicle (I have an Impreza for that now). I plan to do most of the modifications myself since I love to learn DIY projects. I want to learn what is the best products to raise the truck, change the shocks, put in a custom bed liner, add a cover along with adding a supercharger. My first project is replacing my secondary air intake, it is a little bit of an issues (if I don't' drive for a few days the check engine light turns on but the "sticking" (that annoying hum) stops usually after 30 sec of driving. I'm curious if anyone has any ideas of how to clear out the carbon build up that might be causing this (I used seafoam in the air intake and it has reduced the problem, should I try this again before I tackle replacing, my mechanic feels I should do this a few times since 30 bucks is much cheaper than either replacing or paying 2200 to have him do it. I'm also looking to have the truck wrapped and would love suggestions on this subject. I'm just ready to learn from people who have already been here. Thanks for all your advice in advance. Martymann

Or maybe not so excited when the Wife see's all the money you've spent on Mods you learned about from reading Tundras.com.
I know my Wife wasn't shocked about all the Shit I buy for my Tundra!!
After buying the TRD Blower for my Tacoma years back I think She finally went numb and was more surprised when I didnt buy something new for the truck.
