    The fun begins
My Tundra was hit by an old man in a Lexus RX350 on the weekend while parked.

He managed to hit my drivers side end cap and bend the bracket that it attaches to. Also left a super small smudge on my tail light. $3000 CAD repair later I’ll get it back tomorrow. Requires a blind spot monitor recalibration and parking sensor recalibration.

Now to the rental. They gave me a 2024 F150 XLT (not apples to apples I’m aware)

    Pluses to the F150
    - seat plastic is beyond solid
    - seats are a better wider, less bolstered and comfortable especially the seat bottom. Not a problem for me since I’m 5’7” 170 lbs
    - good engine power from the 2.7L
    - Sync system is pretty good overall, it has dials and knobs that work in unison
    - sight lines and hood visibility are much better
    - turning radius is a LOT better. Noticeable in drive through
    - way more back seat foot room and space in general

    Negatives to F150
    - transmission is clunky during 1-2 and 2-3 shifts
    - mileage is worse than my TRD Pro when comparing stock tires to stock tires. The F150 has all the aero parts as well.
    - suspension is much busier and harsh. Probably unfair due to me having a Pro
    - tailgate not damped on my model

I honestly can see why they sell so many of them. They’re good trucks. I’d still take my Tundra anyday; but if someone offered me a Raptor at a similar price I’d be sold.

The only thing i agree with you is seats.
The transmission is terrible, the ride... you even can't compare it to Tundra, let alone one with AVS, besides, to get same options as tundra you are facing at least $20K more and still you get less options.

I had a 2020 raptor for a while and loved every bit of it. I have a 22 tundra platinum now and the family and I love it. Many pluses to the f150 but I would only choose a ford or Toyota when it comes to trucks. Agree with everything you said but on the negatives I only experienced the transmission 1-3rd gear but that was rectified with an update.
