25TA06 Recall on Reverse Lights

Yipee another recall!

 

Just got this one as well.

 

4th quarter 2025 equals mid 2026

 

got that as well

I dont view these things as bad, Im glad they fix shit along the way that isnt working.

so far mine work fine and I dont see any moisture

 

Title says brake lights, recall is for reverse lights. Typo?

 

Brake lights, reverse lights......engines.
I could save them a lot of hassle if they just give me a brand new truck instead.

Kind of hilarious I had a 1985 Ford pickup with the same issue.

Didn't even know we had them, or that they did anything ... might as well not be there.
(who doesn't run AUX backup lights, Amarite?!)

 

They’re hilariously bad when backing up on a trail at night lol. One day I’ll add some squadrons to blind people

 

I have a set of AUX Hella Blackouts under the rear bumper, which come on automatically when the truck's in "R"....but I can also trigger them manually, via a momentary toggle switch installed in cab, for those special "Back the eff off!" occasions.

Probably, but sure is a lot of fun flashing/etc tailgaters at highway speeds (my success rate is 90%!).

 

Received mine today.

 

Carfax sent me an alert today.

 

According to my app they will start the "remedy" in the last quarter of 2025.

Yep, one of the first lights I added.
The ONLY lights on this entire truck that I am completely happy with are the headlights.
Everything else rates somewhere between meh and poor as far as usable light output.
Maybe the blinkers. I give them a meh+.

 

I guess a stop sale has been issued from what the dealer told me after test driving a hybrid.

 

Stop sale because of the reverse lights?

That would be silly. It would take a long time for the lights to corrode out, unless you had a water crossing to get home.

 

They don't even work that well to begin with. I added to mine so I could at least see when backing up.

 

Might even be above the water fording height in stock form lol

 

It is considered a safety issue, hence the recall, and hence the STOP SALE.

Late March 2025 Builds and before. April 2025 Builds should be good to be sold.

Wonder if I can get the tech to install the Form lights I've been dragging my feet on installing.

 

I guess i dont understand the "stop sale" term. o they stop selling tundras?
