Hey guys, my Reese trailer brake plugs right into the factory wiring harness. I didn't have to wire a ground or anything when I installed it. Here the other day I found my battery dead and then noticed that the brake controller was stuck in error and had obviously drained the battery. I disconnected it and reconnected with no effect. What's more likely, that the truck itself has a bad ground, a blown fuse, or that the unit is bad. My money is on the unit. I've never had an issue until now.

    2008 Tundra

    Thanks
