2019 Tundra Techstream Steering Angle Calibration

    Hello everyone, I am having difficulties calibrating the steering angle sensor with techstream. I have only the offline version so I don't have access to techstream manuals to see the exact procedure. I have tried the paperclip method for resetting calibration but that does nothing to my 2019/04 tundra for some reason. I go to abs>test mode> and start the procedure and end the test and then drive it but it gives me "C1439 steering angle sensor initialization incomplete" not sure what I have to do in "test mode". If anyone can help or have access to the manual with instructions would be greatly appreciated. Steering angle sets to 0 but for some reason the "zero point of steering angle" is at -3072. Truck is already aligned and steering wheel is completely straight. Also getting codes "C13A9 Brake system circuit" and Front Radar-Environment History set as "bad" tried to clear history under "Pre-collision 2" but that won't delete the "bad" history. Not sure if thst has something to do with the calibration. Truck has a 6 inch lift with 37s, was in an accident so front radar could possibly have been damaged but has no visible damages, steering angle was replaced. I am getting the pre-collision not available and trailer brake malfunction and traction control dash warnings everytime I go over 25 miles.

    Saw your other post. I used Techstream to perform the angle calibration. Short answer, the "Zero Point of Steering Angle" equaling -3072 means the steering angle sensor is bad. Once I replaced it with a known good one, it immediately started showing 0 for the "Zero Point of Steering Angle" and incremented one number at a time as I rotated the steering wheel.

    Also, I disconnected the negative battery terminal first, replaced the steering angle sensor, and then reconnected the negative battery terminal. In terms of the Techstream steps, ensure truck is on level surface with steering wheel centered, then truck on but not started, abs>reset memory, then abs>test mode> and started the procedure and end the test, then wait 30 seconds and turn the truck off. Disconnect Techstream cable, started the truck and drove 25 mph in a straight line for 10 seconds.

    thanks man that really helps! I did that procedure like you mentioned like 5 times and still have the same codes. I was guessing it could be a bad steering angle but wanted to double check before buying another one, will definitely replace it then, thanks!

    I followed these directions (starts on page 6) to recalibrate my wave sensor that got rid of my codes. I would clear my codes and they would be gone, I would drive and soon as I hit 10mph they would come back on. I got that triangle thing off of ebay, set it up per the instructions on the attached file and followed the steps and they are gone.
