Being just a couple months away from 50 years of surfing you'd think that I'd be cool with sandy feet, but it kinda' bugs me.

I fill it with hot water at the house and I have a nice warm shower when I get out.

Comes in real handy for washing the dogs too.

Same here. I’m 6’ tall and have no trouble accessing stuff in the bin. I guess shorter folks may have some issues, though.

I don’t have a diamondback on my Tundra, but I used to carry my ATV (yamaha raptor) on the diamondback on my dirtymax. I had the diamondback supplied tie downs, but did install my own mount points. Can’t go wrong with the diamondback if you need sturdy/solid mount points.

    That's impressive, Raptor's aren't exactly light.

I think the key question now is... Did ya' ride it up or winch it? :bikewheelie:

Nope. Used the diamondback ramps and rode that b1@#$ up there…It was always an adrenaline rush since the raptor was tuned and dialed in for two modes- idle and wide open :)

Still have the cover and the ramps if anyone needs them for a GMC 2500.

    Haha... Atta' boy!!

Which begs the next question... OEM back window?

That exact loading scenario has been the subject of many "Epic Fail" videos on YouTube.

Lol…That is a valid question - OEM back window for the win! Ten years of ATVs on the cover and the worst situation was wheeling it on the way up (many times), but the brakes were good and never more than a love tap on the window. I am older and not as adventurous these days, my Raptor days are over, but unfortunately the wife still has her Raptor 700 and refuses to get old :)

Yeah, I hung it up awhile back too.

I decided I was probably pushing my luck ripping around Glamis in my mid-50's on a 3-wheeler... You know, the ones they outlawed 'cuz so many people got ruined on 'em?

I never made it to Glamis, but we do have Little Sahara here in Utah that I spent a lot of time at. I have a family member with an ATC 250R in their barn. It is mine for the taking. I spent many an hour on the old 3 wheelers and am surprised I made it to my teen years :). In the end, the everchanging dune conditions and all the side by sides got to be too annoying to deal with. Nowadays I prefer meandering down a trail/road in my truck/jeep and enjoying the view at a slow pace.

Great duning at Little Sahara! Some of my riding buddies made the trip a few times.

It'd be hard to resist taking your family member up on the 250R... the "Lightswitch" powerband on those was always a rush when it hits.

I rode some of those and a couple Banshees my friends had, but my 3-wheeler was the 350X. Go anywhere the 2 strokes would, just without your hair on fire.

We rarely went on the big holidays, and we'd just sit and watch the chaos at the drags or Oldsmobile (the big competition hill where everyone goes to show off) then we'd go do our riding deep in the dunes to avoid the crowds.

I miss it, but I don't bounce (or heal) like I used to.

Yes it is a rush, and not something this old fart needs to try and relive their youth by restoring it and then cartwheeling 100 yards at speed. Like my last remaining motorcycles, it would be restored/maintained to be a centerpiece in my mancave/barn-bar for viewing (still in the planning phase). Blasphemy I know, but I just enjoy looking at a them because i know I would probably kill myself if I rode them like I used to.

On topic, I bought the Front Runner kit through Diamondback. Use it to carry the kayaks (family of 5). I’ve also mounted to tool bar and bed light. I was going to do the molle panel, but those only work with the HD.
