    Yup.

Now, if the requirement for stop/start tech is made more permanent, then simply not installing it might offer enough savings in materials that they'd drop it. IDK what all is involved with the system beyond coding to control the behavior, and then the button to turn it off. If it's not labor intensive to stop including it and there is a material savings then I could see them dropping it.

If the requirements removal is looking to only be temporary, then they'd likely leave it in to avoid the headache when the requirement is added back in.

My '25 doesn't require any stupid shit. When I want to take off, i just give it a little gas and away I go. Pretty easy, IMO.
    To each their own, though.

The cable I got just acts like I had pushed the off button on Stop/Start (and you can actually push the button to turn it *on* if you want). No dash lights.

I personally like start stop in the toyota because i control it and ac stays at full blast. Push down to activate. My stupid honda would activate and kill the ac in 100 degree weather then 10 secs later reactivate for “climate control” -pos

I don't understand what all this frustration is about. My tundra never turns off.
just don't press the brakes like crazy. It even says " push brake pedal harder to activate the stop/start" or something on this regard, i don't pay much attention to this crap.

You can turn off the annoying message via an option in the settings menu. Just not the Amber warning indicator.

It is not annoying, I don't see it, I look at my HUD for info. I saw it ones, understood what i should do(shoud not do lol) and forgot about it. So far, so good, never activated this feature.
But thanks for the tip, will do it anyway.

That's odd... I turned my seatbelt chime off and my 25 still does it...

My seat belt chimes are off too and my 23 still does it as well. One thing I noticed this past winter is it never did the park shutoff/restart until the weather got warmer. It also very rarely shuts off at stop signs during the winter for climate control according to the message that pops up.

Because it has a flaw in the software. When I shift to Park it shuts off just to restart itself a half second later. Almost every time. I don’t like that wasted S/S cycle. A waste on the battery as well as the starter. So for yrs now I’ve been shutting down in Drive, then shift to Park, and then turn off the power. Service says there’s no adjustment.

Interesting yours does that. I haven't noticed my '25 doing that, but will see if does. If so, I would be frustrated with it too. I've been using the auto-brake feature and like that a lot in traffice or at lights. I've noticed that with auto-brake on, it will still do S/S on it's own.

Yea, I hate that mine does that as well. It seems it should be a very easy software update to fix the issue but it's been years now and Toyota hasn't fixed it yet. I just ordered the auto disable cable. Remembering to press the disable button every time you get in the truck is a pain.

Guys, try to unbuckle before you shift to park. I heard it helps. Tricks the system

I’ll be damned that this has worked for the past five days. I tried this many times in ‘23 to no avail. Just need to train my brain now to unbuckle in Drive. I did a test re-buckling in Park with the engine running and it immediately stopped. Thanks for reminding me of this. Easier than the method Ive used for two years.

Nothing I hate more about this truck than the auto start/stop. I have the auto cancel module just waiting to install after my engine replacement in a couple weeks.

only thing worse is the beeping when closing door with my keys in my pocket..
