Did you get the GX550 by any chance? They do share the same engine I believe but limited explosions? It looks sharp. That was my option instead the turd gen. But then I found a brand new 2021 at $38K in Nov 2023 so I just won the Tundra lottery with that one. Slapped a Magnuson on top of that and few other sensible upgrades and I am still under $55K and loving it.

Last week I had my truck in for some small supercharger repair and they provided me with a turd gen loaner. God I hate it. Feels like a boat when driving and the exterior and interior are horrible from a design and usability perspective. Can't see shit on the buttons and impossible to figure out where shit is and adjust lets say AC temp point.

Damn, that was from memory? Super impressed.

I love my 24 Limited non-hybrid thingy and have resolved to just drive it but the nagging "it will probably melt down when I'm towing a trailer in some remote location with the family" is there and a bit annoying.

Still that's always a factor in literally any vehicle eh? And I'm coming from a Dodge Caravan mini van so feels more manly anyway... that's something.

Oh no pano roof for me since I occasionally drive the dunes.

My seat panel cracks are just about to come to a consensus...

Yes I have running boards and only 4900 miles and no I'm not small.

I have a 2.5 gen and love it; will drive it until the wheels fall off. After that, I will gladly upgrade to a 3rd gen with no hesitation

Dangggg, didn’t know that this word “consensus” was such a touchy subject .

I’m currently on a 2020 1794 fully loaded, with 102k miles, and I’m just trying to decide whether to upgrade or just keep driving it.

Gotta test drive and get a feel for it really, Step 1.

Around here 1794's are just under 70k.

If your current truck works for you and your needs haven't changed, why change trucks? If you just want to change anyway, go for it.

Yeap, just a 100 miles on it for being moved around the show rooms. My factory warranty is expiring in 2026 and I have the extra Toyota Platinum for another 10 years or 125K miles, whichever comes first.

Save yourself a $65-75K bill and put a supercharger on your 2020. Ask me how I know :)

Nearest Lexus dealer is too far away and GX550 Overtrails are too scarce.

Got the 250 Series Toyota Land Cruiser.

Speaking from experience (22 Capstone w/ 17k- an early production before engine issues and under Toyota "safe launch plan" with additional quality checks, and a 2011 Platinum (owned since new) w/ 228k). I LOVE My 11 Platinum- my daily driver and river truck....but there is simply no comparison between my two trucks. The 22 Capstone out performs my 2nd gen in all key categories- power, torque, driving performance, media center, high end option like Lexus grade leather, acoustic glass.....there is simply no comparison.

Which one would you drive into the Alaskan bush with no hope of contact with man for the next 10 years and feel good about it?
