    Good morning everyone,

This morning I went to shift my truck from park and it was stuck in park. I quickly googled some common issues and checked a couple fuses and the brake lights. The fuses were fine and the brake lights are working. I did notice the ebrake feels loose and there is no tension on the pedal until it gets to the bottom 1/4. The brakes also do not build up pressure when pressed repeatedly. The brakes fluid looks like it's filled almost right to the top, which I found weird. The manual release button next to the shifter is also already compressed down so I'm unable to push that. Currently out of ideas and very annoyed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Neutral safety switch is common for this. Not sure what’s up with those brakes though. What’s the history there? New to you truck? Owned it for years? Recent work of some kind?

I've owned the truck in its entirety. Never had a single issue with anything. Hasn't had any recent work. The only things that stand out to me is the brake fluid being so high in the reservoir, like right up to the bottleneck it looks like and not between the lines.

Right now I'm at work with the battery disconnected. I did see a mouse dropping on the floor mat, and I'm praying this is unrelated.

I would try checking the BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY or the STOP LIGHT SWITCH (little white plastic swich down by brake petal).
Put it in low range 4WD, without starting the truck and the brake overide system is not active.

Turns out a mouse decided to get into the center console and chew the wires for the shiting solenoid. Was quite the experience ripping all of the center console out to find that.

Nearest dealership is 70 miles away so a tow truck would have cost me 400 plus dealership labor..

Did just that. Luckily he left enough wire coming out of the solenoid to attach a connector to.
