Fuel tank 38 vs 26

Hello, new to this forum. So i got a 2021 tundra sr5 ext cab 4x4 spit out evap codes. Took in to dealer and was told the charcoal canister is bad, they replaced it but now they want to sell me a new gas tank as they said a corroded clip needs to be replaced and only available with a new tank. My truck has a 32gal tank so my question is will the tubing/hose replacement off of a 26gal tank work or am i screwed and have to buy a new fuel tank?

 

Your truck cannot have a 32 gallon tank as they were not offered in 2020. Perhaps you have the 38 gallon?

 

the hose you're questioning likely won't work, but I'd look at a Pick and Pull yard...or even eBay...the code sucks but you can still drive the truck...the reason why the 26 gallon won't work is the hose length is different than where the 38 gallon tank has the hose...

However, it might work...check out Fred Anderson and see if you can get the same part numbers for the different tank size options:
