Regular Cab Short Bed Tundra

I think 6.5’ boxes are interchangeable since guys seem to just unbolt old and bolt in new so if it’s
the same length box I’d say ‘yes’, but this just comes under my ‘I’ve observed…’ premise.

 

I really want to know what brand this topper is, it’s fits so snug and close to the cab I’m amazed!!

 

They have a separate mold for RCSB’s than the double cabs. Shells from double cabs will have to be spaced back a little to avoid rubbing the third brake light/paint.

That one looks too close (in my opinion). But it does look meant for the RCSB!

 

Remove the 3rd light. Easy to do. I think you got it right though, meant for a DC.

Yup clapped lol. For 33K that thing better be absolutely spotless.

 

that truck has had an accident and lived its entire life in Maine and New Hampshire with two owners even if one guy miraculously sprayed fluid film odds are the other didn’t so that frame is probably Swiss cheese

Those are Tundra TRD Pro Wheels. They are forged in Japan by BBS, and carry a hefty price tag these days.

I think the Rock Warriors wheels are better in terms of fitment.

 

First Post on the forum. I just picked this up this past week in Reno, NV. 112,000 miles has a few dents that I am having dentless repair come over to hopefully take out. Definitely want to find Leather buckets so I can have seat heaters. Once I finish my 06 Lexus LX470 I will start building this one. Does anyone know if it's possible to change the shifter from the column to a console shift? I really wanted buckets with the console. Eventually will have 35's, bumpers and rock
sliders (if I can find anyone who makes them)

 

Not worth the money to go from column to console shift. Thats a ton of labor and moving shifting linkages, etc.

Somewhere recently a guy did the swap. You'd have to find a wreck and be able to pick it. I'd be more interested in swapping in the
console and keeping the column shift, have better storage and more comfort.

I'm going to start with the bucket seats... If I find the right one I will probably grab the center console also. I really like heated seats so I am hoping I can find a double cab limited with everything in it .

 

@rcsbguy Just re-watched your video regarding wheel/tire fitment for 35s.

I'm running OEM +60 wheels with 275/70/18 (33s). I plan on running some 1" Bora spacers which would bring my total offset to +35.

Question - which size tire would work best?

35x11.5

No lift. I removed the strut spacers and put it back to stock with 2021 take off shocks/springs. I noticed that the more current front coils are beefier than the ones I removed, which I believe were the original coils. Truck is sitting almost level with about .5in of rake.

I plan on keeping it stock for now. Ideally, I want the 11.5 but wouldn't mind the skinny ones for fitment purposes.

If Tinkerer can fit 37s, these 35s should be no problem (I think)

 

Why are you going to put on spacers? Tinkerer's adventure fit 37's with rock warrior (+50) wheels and NO spacers. once you add the spacers you are going to rub on the cab mount. I would think go with 11.5's with no spacers then adjust the lower Castor on the Lower A arm to provide the space needed. Alignment required afterwards. I will be doing this exact same thing once I save the $$ for new tires and wheels. I think this will work but not 100% sure as I haven't done it, just watched the you tube video

 

You wont rub the cab mount like the guy above said. Either size at that offset you’re fine, just dial in your alignment. Do a 1.25” spidertraxx spacer instead. @siznarf

 

The +60 v +50 offset makes a difference as well as the 1" difference in tire width. Higher offset + wider tire = possible frame rub, hence the idea of the spacer

I want to be able to fully cycle without having to worry about frame rub.

 

I do prefer the 1.25" spidertrax paired with oem wheels. Regarding the tire width, 11.5 is just nice to look at but I'm certain the pizza cutters will handle the same if not better in terms of mpg

 

It’ll be the same mpg. Fractional at that point if you factor weight differences. Just get the wider it looks better when you’re running a non-aggressive offset.

 

Hi there just picked up this 2010 rcsb 5.7 center console 4x4 trd off road.It needs some work but is rust free southern truck.Anyone know how many of these were made as I know all rcsb are hard to find.I mostly see 2007 and 2008 but not alot of trd off roads.Just curious as I like all of them.Thanks.
