When you say not too loud, like a mild hum or drone is notable compared to stock?

I really like the wild peaks and the AT3s so far. I plan to tow but dislike loud tires.

Mild hum compared to the weak-ass stock Yokos. It's unrealistic to expect an AT to be whisper quiet like the stockies. Like you, I was worried they'd be too loud but they're really not.

The ride is smooth, there's very little road noise, my tire shop said they balanced easily, and they look fantastic. Mine are SL 285/60R20 and weigh 48lbs; they're basically the biggest AT you can get in standard load. There's also 275/65 but I liked the look of the slightly wider 285 better. If I had to do it all over again I'd do the exact same thing.

I'm not much a tire nerd, but had similar requirements. I wanted a 60K tire that would hold up well to highway use, good wet traction, and look good. I haven't seen these mentioned here but the brand is owned by yokahama. Sumitomo Encounter AT, and I got them for just under $200 each at DT in 275/70/R18. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/sumi...i4knPohSF8-zAFwB_YQmbMZKZFJbyNCJ87JerKdYbeDqm

I've only run them a little over 10K so far. They're quiet and work well in scenarios.

Would you say the AT3s are quieter than Falkens?

+1 for the Falkens. LT 35x11.5r18 wild peak a/t4W is what I’m running. They are C rated. Very quiet and almost no wear shown after a year of driving on them.

    Excellent!

Are you running stock wheels with them?

    Working on it :-)
I run the Bridgestone Dueller Ascent's also but in a 295/70/18. I am very pleased with them so far. Quiet and smooth.

I just went and checked out all the tires and decided to go with Toyos Open Country AT3. The guy at the shop swore by them and they are on sale. Hopefully turns out good!

thank you all for your help!

maybe I need to some cool wheels now.

Has any one heard of AGP wheels?

I have had great results with the Bridgestone Dueler Revos in the past on a 3/4ton. I currently have the Revo 3 on my 2018 Tundra. I only put on 5-7k miles a year and much of that is offroad and towing at the same time. No issues noted so far, but I have only had them for 2 years. Road manners are great while towing as well as when not. Great wet weather and good snow performance. Very low road noise. Based on my low mileage I expect them to age out before I wear them out. Also used some Cooper Discovery AT2 (I think that was the model) on my previous tacoma and they did great on a cross country trip when we were dodging/caught in blizzard conditions for almost 1200 miles.

I'm sitting at Discount tire getting a set put on my '07 as I type. Been running a set of P-metric sized NaT's on my work truck for a few months and love them.

I had Terrain Contact A/T on a 2013 Honda Ridgeline. Not good in mud, but by far the best road tire that had some off road capability too. If I was staying on road with just gravel roads for any non-pavement I'd buy a set for the Tundra in a heartbeat. Smooth, reliable traction, quiet and long life. Hard to beat by any measure.

Edit: disregard, I missed your reply of what you got. Enjoy!

As someone with TOYO AT3's in the last half of their life... I fucking hate them and cannot wait to get something new... They are obnoxiously loud with a cyclical drone and send vibrations through the whole truck at any speed. Balanced and rotated to many times to count. Will probably dump them before winter.

Going either Falken's or Yokohoma's next. If I go more highway oriented, Michilen M/S.

I actually ended up having issues with the aT3s and went with Falkens and they are way quieter and no balance issue!

The Yoko Geos G015s saved my life on the interstate swerving around a tanker that crossed over the barrier coming the other direction in harsh rain. Road noise is indistinguishable from stock and great wet grip. I mostly tow and hit gravel, not deep off road terrain so can’t speak to that.
