2012 Toyota tundra 2WD truck

The transmission was working ok until backing uphill. Then it shuddered and quit pulling in reverse. Can the transmission be reset or does it need to be replaced/repaired?

TRD Sway Bar, Roll covers USA bed cover

First change the fluid. Drain and fill more specifically.
