Well went to take the Tundra for a drive with the wife today, it has sat for around a week or so it was due. Started up fine but man it made a horrible noise. Wife said she seen smoke coming from it and smelt bad, looked under the hood everything was moving fine, well so I thought. Appears that the altenator locked up on me and melted the belt IN every rib of every pulley. Goodtimes.

Anyone have a good method of cleaning the melted rubber out? Quick search of the interwebs showed lots of method none of which are that great. The Altenator will be a project all it’s own. New one should be here in a few days.

Custom bug spat pattern hood, grill & bumper. Dead Live Oak leaf collection under hood, cowl and lower fenders. Beach sand custom floor covering.
I'd try a wire brush on a drill .... with good eye protection.
