Even with "total access" installing headers sucks.

I'd look into it but then it sounds like it's a bit late for that.

Fellas, remember mother's day is around the corner. Get them something nice so you don't feel so bad when you purchase your next upgrade. Cheers!

Motor should be getting finished soon, added some Darton sleeves!

Sorry but I seemed to have missed your post.
The installer is the only installer certified by Magnuson in Houston.
And with Houston being up to 80 miles across I feel Damn lucky he's only a few miles down the road.
But again I'd like to do more performance mods on my truck other than just the SCer.
Sounds like this may be more difficult than anticipated.
I find it hard to believe that I'm going to be limited to the SCer when it comes to performance Mods.

Sorry but I seemed to have missed your post.
it's being done by a Magnuson approved installer which is luckily just down the road from me.
And it's the only Magnuson approved shop in Houston.
I'm lucky in that I live in a rather Wealthy area and it's obvious Magnuson chose the area for that very reason.
You'll see 16 year olds driving around in cars you'd give your left nut for!!!
    Sorry little Bastards!!!
But I'm happy to take advantage of the situation.

Pretty sure they say you're required to use one of their certified installers to keep your warranty.
Which makes total sense after seeing some of the morons who claim to know what they're doing.
Hell,I wouldnt let some of them change the oil in my Truck!!!
Seems some Shops will hire anyone with a pulse.

I don't know about Tank Customs folks if you're using them. When I spoke with them for my SC install they didn't get my vote of confidence. I think finding a Toyota tech who knows Toyota intimately and who is also authorized to do Magnuson Supercharger installs was the perfect match for me. I am super happy with my install and I maintain my truck at the same dealership from now on.

    Never heard of them.
I'll be using who ever Magnuson says I should use.
They have their own certified installers all over the Country.
To use anyone else would be the height of stupidity since you'd lose your warranty.

Oh, I don't know about that last statement. Have you peopled much lately? They're always willing to raise (or is it lower in this case?) the stupidity bar. How people choose to spend their own money and how it impacts warranty probably doesn't even hit the scale.

You're actually NOT listening but knock yourself out man. You come across a little rough but nobody is going to hold that against you.

I didn't use "anyone else" nor lost my warranty. I even managed to keep my extended Toyota Platinum warranty which is hard to do after you install a big piece of non OEM hardware. My warranty is perfectly fine and registered and verified. As a matter of fact if you're not authorized you won't even be able to get the Magnuson tune from them and upload it to the truck or get support from them at all.

You never provided a name for the installer so I find that a bit shady, but hey man, good luck to you.

I was just trying to offer you an option that worked very well for me, that's all.

I read their warranty and they only "recommend" using an installer. I just got off the phone with Magnuson and they stated self installs are perfectly fine. Where they've been in the business and can verify if something has been changed from factory specs.

Maybe I got lucky speaking to a tech at Magnuson but they deal with self installs and technical issues from all sorts.

It is possible and I tend to agree with you, they can't be that strict, can they? I go by what I was told by my Toyota tech who did the install:) I usually like to go by the book. And I did call Magnuson to make sure my warranty is registered and valid.
