With a supercharger it absolutely makes a difference, you get more air into the SC which nets more boost. I'm selling because I upgraded to a 103mm GM throttle body.

The SuperCharger is on the way.
Might take you up on it.
Going to do some more research.

Guy I was talking to a week ago had/has one of those and said he had to get a different MAF (from the same company) because it was throwing codes for some reason. It looks like the TB they offer is only 76mm, so it's essentially stock size? Looks like a waste of money to me. If you're going to buy a TB the smallest one I would get is the RCF that Armyoffoo is selling, though even that is a small step up over stock, but is proven and OEM and won't do anything weird.

I ran a bored 76mm to 79mm as it was only available at the time. Then rcf 84mm which upped the airflow and power without requiring tuning. Eventually went to GM 103 but settled on a GM 95mm with 4.5 inch intake.
The 84mm is a good fit with the supercharger. You can't go wrong.

Bigger is always better especially with the supercharger. Tons of data out there from Richard Holdner, prospeed etc.

@Tundra Texan weren't you worried about your magnuson warranty? A bigger TB may require tuning beyond the magnuson calibration. Just something to think about. 84mm doesn’t require any tuning adjustments @Mdl ? 84mm is a 22% increase in area of the TB. Partially asking for future reference for myself also.

RCF is plug and play, no tuning required, only needs an adapter for mounting.

If you increase the intake tube size then the MAF needs those values adjusted. Otherwise your good to go as @armyoffoo stated.

I guess my thought was even though you’re not changing the MAF tube diamater, you’re increasing the airflow through the MAF in the same size tube by 10+%, thereby possibly exceeding the MAF voltage limit at high RPM. A bigger TB isn’t a whole lot different than a smaller pulley in this regard.

I'd def keep an eye on that AFR after the TB update. May need a slight tweak since more air.

    Good point.
Something else I'll have to look into.
If thats an issue I'd guess Headers might be as well, along with all the other mods I have planned.
Going to have to get with Magnuson and find out.
While I'd like to get all I can out of the 5.7 not sure it's worth losing the warranty for the Blower.
That could come back and bite you in the Ass no doubt.
Dont have to worry about Toyota's warranty with my Truck being a 2016 though.
Thinking about it I cant see where getting a few mods is going to affect the Magnuson though.
It's gonna force air into the engine no matter what other external parts you install.

What they don't know won't hurt them. And the only thing that directly affects the Magnuson is the pulley, if you run a different pulley then just pull it off in the case you have to send the blower in.

LOL...Won't say that didnt cross my mind.
I always keep my factory parts so I can put em back on the truck if the parts may affect my warranty.
It wouldnt be the first time I did that.....;)

Having had issues with Jet performance products in the past, I wouldn’t touch it.

Given the options available right now, keeping it plug n play, the rcf+adapter like others stated or ported.

personally I swapped to an OEM ported TB.
    IMG_3260.jpg IMG_3285.jpg
Cost was a lot lower compared to the RCF when I was looking at the time.
Stored away my original OEM since I plan to swap to the @snivilous TB when it becomes available.

Hopefully that still happens, it's been fighting @Mdl and I to get the prototypes to behave nice 24/7. The guy I talked to who had issues with his Jet one actually had a lot of the same codes as we're getting, which is both good and bad for trying to fix it haha

dang, fingers crossed ya'll are able to get it figured out, highly interested in it.
hopefully no Jet MAF required for us though lol cause those things suck butt, had two. first one failed within a year, threw check a engine light. second one was the warranty replacement, pretty sure it failed within the year too except this one didn't throw a check engine light, but truck felt funny. Went back to normal after I swapped the OEM back in. Boxed up the Jet MAF and threw it in a drawer. This was before supercharging too.

Viktorg had his ported to 86mm there wasn't much more they could do. Before he died Maxbore said he could do 89mm but it was on the thin side. He said he was comfortable doing it but 86-87mm gave the best wall thickness/strength.

RCF throttle body would also require the snout to be opened up right? That would most likely be something you couldn’t hide if the magnuson had to be inspected for a warranty claim.

Are there still benefits to installing without porting the snout or would that not yield any gains?

The mount adapter is tapered to fit the TB and the snout, so porting isn't necessary. Most people report .8-.9PSI boost increase without porting. Plug and play power increase without changing how fast you're spinning the SC, like with a smaller pulley.

Also are you running 1900 or 2650 SC? If 2650 I believe the snout opening is closer to 80mm. On the 1900 I ported to 84mm then ported to 94mm. But shouldn't be an issue and still see gains without porting.
