they provide an extra level of powertrain warranty if an approved installer is used and its a new vehicle. kits have a 3/36000 warranty, which is voided if you change the pulley, tune, injectors, race your vehicle, or run bigger tires. oops

 

Yea Im at 63K and I have had her for 7 years soooooooo!

 

Look at this pesky hose. Failed in less than a year. Or was it damaged during the install? My truck went nuts for a bit.

 

I hate that little fucker. Perfect excuse to swap in a catch can.

 

Ive seen some PVC hoses be cracked from heat and wrestled in as its a tight spot. I think another member had his fail recently too.

 

Is there a vid of the run? A build sheet? I think those look like EV numbers but would be very impressed a Taco can do that.

 

How did you find it?

Install a catch can and get rid of that. I had mine do the same thing when I tried to install it, super weird orientation with the magnuson 2650 right on top of it. All the same warning lights going ape shit on my '21 when that happened.

 

I did not but I will see if OTT will make a revision. If not I will just wait until I do the next round of modifications. Thanks for the help.

It's much smoother, but I wouldn't take the truck through stop-n-go traffic, it can get old quick.

Manual/Sport mode the solution for that scenario in your opinion?

 

I had an old style shift kit and stop and go traffic was a bit much 2-3. I really like my IPT built valve body. Not snappy but grabs the gears on the go. I believe OTT has access to a few other tables over HPT.

 

Quick question on this hose. Does it come with the supercharger kit or is a Toyota one? Magnuson is telling is not theirs.

 

Stock Toyota, goes from PCV valve to Intake plenum.

That hose will be eliminated when you do the catch can, get the evil energy one. Later tonight i'll snap a picture of how i have my hoses routed so you can see what i'm talking about.

 

Something to be aware of is that one end of the hose is 1/2" and the other end is 3/8" (or it is on my truck's plenum), so plan accordingly, a 1/2" to 3/8" reducing adapter and some extra 1/2" hose will get you to the catch can.

Install is underway!

 

Pull the brass barb on the back before you get it on! Or at least loosen and reinstall it to make sure it's not stuck.

 

It's a brass plug, and it's on the driver side below the "son" on the nameplate. Eventually you'll want to have a barbed fitting installed.
