Nailed the look, loving that color.

 

I went back a little ways here....

The factory mats are ridiculously undersized, especially if you have a winter season and the slop that goes with it.
I just have the "Tundra" rubber mats so far and they look to be the same size as your original 1794 mats, that is, really small.

I am torn between the Husky's and TuxMats, which look like they provide even more coverage than the Husky's.
I'm also a cheap ass, and have a hard time justifying the TuxMat's price.
Decisions, decisions.

I got my Husky Weatherbeaters on Amazon in new condition but box was damaged for $106 (fronts and rear).

After getting my Husky mats, a text came from Tuxmat saying they were now in stock.

I bought a full set and will see how they work. It appears the coverage is going to be outstanding.

The padded feeling will be welcome, too.

A number of guys at work will take the Husky mats off my hands.

 

For me, it’s about mission. What is the purpose? For me offroading or overlanding turns the truck into the entertainment, not just the vehicle to get you to the entertainment. So it’s fun to work on the truck and make changes as it will impact what I love to do, which is get out away from people and see sites and locations that 99% of the world will not. And to take my family along and bless them as well.

 

Well I guess I'm spending more money now.

 

Damn you. Just had to order a set of Tuxmats.

 

added some overlays and mud flaps over the weekend... Tufskinz overlays as always are great quality, had them paint match the "i-force" overlays to match my wheels:

Also installed the ARK mid size mud flaps, install was straight forward. Great quality product, they also come in 2 other sizes.

 

Finally got my Toyota app linked to my truck. Hadn’t bothered in the first year to try to link it since it was a rental/fleet truck in its previous life so I was locked out from linking it to my Toyota account. Called connected services yesterday about it, proved I own it, and today it works! Made sure to turn off insurance connect bc my insurance is expensive enough as is, they don’t need to know how fast I go, lol.

1) Rapt... I mean, amber clearance lights.
2) Vertical switchback "not an intercooler vent" lights. White when running, sequential amber with turn signals or hazards.

 

Which amber grille lights did you go with? I like that look.

I just put my driver's side Tuxmat in place.





I can see the potential, however it needs some anchoring to have it fitting tight to the floor, sill and side.
It comes with several clips and velcro pieces....but they seem like half measures. I know I'll have them kicked off in weeks.

When I get some time to shoot over to Lowes-Home Depot, etc, I'll get some Velcro runners that adhere nicely to the sill & side. I'll have the mats anchored down nicely.

It is unseasonably cool this morning....parking the truck out in a 95 degree sunny day will likely help the mats to relax. I'm leaving them laying flat in the garage for now.

I can see where I'll really like the Tuxmats after they are anchored to my satisfaction.

Gonna show off the truck this weekend so I'll keep the factory mats intact for now.

Used the tailgate as a seat when taking a break doing some yard work this morning. Thankfully the rain put a stop to such madness.

 

Hmmm, that makes me think, I'm going to have buyers regret. I had the husky liners in my 21 and they laid down much flatter without counter measures.

 

I've had the Tuxmats for 6 months. Used the supplied clips and velcro, but after some time they lay down nicely. Don't think the velcro is really necessary. Best mats I've seen/used imho

@CappyKD I have no doubt these will lay down nicely and work great.

No doubts.

I'm in too much of a rush today to address it, but will knock it out next week. A roll of Velcro hook & loop is an easy and low cost solution. I'm sure Amazon will have what I need and save me a trip to a store.
