I bought this headache rack for my '05 AC: https://a.co/d/8dwUHHp. It fits great horizontally, but I can't figure out how to mount it. The first hole lines up nicely with the stake pocket, but the second hole ends up lining up right on top of where the inside wall of the bed curves toward the middle of the truck. Can anyone suggest a mounting kit that could make this more feasible? I don't want to mount it to the stake pocket only. I'm not a welder, but I have no problem drilling into the bed for a secure mount.

Did you see the part that says "fits most trucks"? I think by "most" they're referring to the big three. And personally, I wouldn't mount that to my bed. I think you're asking to have the bed rails destroyed due to the limited footprint on the mounting points. In fact, if you scroll through the reviews, there's photos of exactly what I'm talking about.

Those pictures only show the stake pocket, so it looks like they only mounted it there. That's why I don't want to mount it only there.
