What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Finally upgraded to the new TRD Pro grille. Previously had the older gen TRD Pro grille, but the TSS errors were driving me crazy… wish I’d done it sooner!

 

Man!! They would lock me up if they found that in my rig here in Cali!1

 

Nice! My cheap Amazon splash guards just started cracking apart. Buy quality first...

Finally managed to get some spring interior cleaning done, along with cleaning and conditioning the leather with Zymoil.

Now I need the damn pollen to stop so I can do some exterior work.

 

After T2S has to update the battery terminals. Decided to go with the Kaas. They seem to work well for now. One of my next projects is to clean up the wire rat nest.

 

I think I finished the last of the interior accent lighting. Wired in the VLEDS blue bar light with the dimmer I had leftover from the footwell install. Adds a nice touch and I can see the console and cup holders at night a bit easier now.

 

Overall a pretty easy install to do with minimal hand tools. Coverage is exceptional and the material feels to be good quality. I don’t see these flapping around and coming loose like the factory ones. I did trim just a bit around the abs wire by the upper control arms. The cable felt pretty snug against the shield and I didn’t want to have any rubbing as the control arms move up and down. Overall pretty pleased with them and a good upgrade for about $120.

Went on a bit of exploration trip to Land Between The Lakes. Didn’t do anything too crazy because my wife just had some medical issues but a good time was had. Pulled out a 2nd gen after his 4x4 stopped working as well.

Removed the 3rd member this afternoon, and Zuk says "never heard one make a noise like that..." He is doing the rewear to 5.29s. Anyone thinking that going numerically higher is bad, just dont....4.88s aren't worth it.

I know it's a mess. I have to shorten up all the trigger connectors and do a bit of rework. That is tomorrow's problem.

Those look good. Thinking of getting them. I have rekgen. The passenger rear melted due to my exhaust. The micros should not have that problem.

Ya they are a solid poly type of plastic. Really rigid. Shouldn’t have any issues with deformation due to heat

 

I had some knocking sounds coming from the supercharger, so I took it off and shipped it off to Harrop for them to look it over. I'm in the process of reinstalling the stock intake plenum so I can drive my truck this week and had to make some adjustments for the plenum to fit with my modifications. I had to adjust the fuel lines running behind the supercharger so the stock plenum would fit. I also had to move my electric fan thermo switch from the Harrop coolant crossover pipe to an adapter in the top radiator hose since there wasn't room to drill/tap 3/8npt into the stock coolant crossover pipe.

Used the Cerakote Headlight restoration kit today and so far I'm impressed.The kit comes with wipes for oxidation,gloves,2000gr and 3000gr sand paper,sponge to hold the sandpaper discs and wipes with the sealant impregnated .I did use some 1200gr disc on my headlights first then followed up with the 2000/3000 all wet sanded.We'll see how long it lasts.Oh did the Yota emblem while I was at it

I did the headlights on the 2002 Park Ave I was using as a commuter 2.5 years ago. They looked great for about 18 months but are getting a little hazy again. Not as bad a as before I did them but not great anymore.

What's your wheel/tire set up? Are you running spacers? I'm in the market for tires right now so deciding what size I'll be able to squeeze in there after my lift. Do you have a front shot of your truck?
