RCI engine skid plate 1 or 2 piece ?

howdy fellas,

my buddy has a 2016 and wants to buy the RCI engine skid plate. I have one I bought maybe 5 years ago and it is 2 pieces. RCI website has pictures of both 1 piece and 2 pieces. so which one is being sold currently ?

The engine skid I got a month ago from RCI showed up as a two-piece plate. I had it PC'd and forgot to ask for the bolts back. Doh. I also have the transmission skid, which would make for a 3rd piece. To note, though, I purchased the aluminum plates. I wonder if the steel plates are one-piece?

 

I got my RCI skid plates about a 1 to 2 years ago. Engine skid came as a one piece. So did the transmission/ transfer skid. Mine are the powder coated steel.

 

My RCI engine skid is 1 piece. Got it about a year ago.

I do see on the website for the gen 3 tundras they have a 2 pieces design but gen 2 advertised as one piece.
I did send them an email yesterday night so hopefully i get an answer next week.

 

is yours a gen 3 tundra ? then it is a 2 pieces design from what I see on the website.
