Jim h I'm new to this toyota tundra enthusiasts but I've read another of your posts and you all seem to have great ideas on different things to do with your toyotas I'm not to tech savvy with computers or phones I'd rather have a wrench in my hand or a fishing pole but I need some advice and I couldn't think of a better place to go and ask for it than on this website where guys love there tundra. So hers my issue and any advice would be appreciated I bought a Rv that weighs 8000lbs my truck says it's rated for 9000 lbs but I wasn't so sure my trucks suspension would handle it so I asked my son to tow it with his f250 he got the Rv here but his truck was just about bottomed out so I know my tundra would not have made the trip what would be the best way to beef up my suspension enough to tow the Rv and be safe

Welcome to the forum and to the Tundra. I have had Tundras for awhile now and will never own another truck. You can check out a site for product made by Timbren. They are suspension parts made to help support the suspension, it also gets great reviews.

Thats a big RV for a Tundra. Need a WDH in order not to bottom the truck out. Also need to know the tongue weight and adjust accordingly.

1400 tongue weight is the issue. These trucks are not rated for that kind of action. That likely exceeds your payload. Too much trailer. WDH is a weight distribution hitch. Toyota calls for one when towing more than 5000# with the Tundra. Regardless, you're way over payload.

So no matter what I do to the suspension it would still be to much for the tundra

I know it seems silly but if the new suspension components weigh more then the OEM components you are actually lowering your max payload.

    payload can NEVER be increased
