    Hey All,
Have owned my truck about 15 years.
Love it except for the brakes.
I have read every thread Google could find for the last couple of years.
One thing stands out. No one has said anything about the brake petal assembly. It’s not typical. It looks like it has a force multiplier. I am planning to look this direction then replace the rubber lines.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

Your brakes might be dragging, and the gentlest touch squeezes on hot pads. They grab hard and dont really let go.

Checked for that also. Going to check the rubber hoses next before I tackle the petal.
    Thanks

I'm confused are you saying your brakes are mushy? Like you have to really push on them to get them to stop you? Or the opposite?

My daily driver is a RAV4 hybrid so when I touch the truck brakes it is very unsettling with the long travel. I had the master cylinder replaced last week because it would pump up for one braking episode. Also had the shop bleed the ABS system. Very disappointed in the results. The truck has no rust anywhere and no fluid leaks. Long petal travel and soft not mushy.

Mine you had to almost push to the floor to stop. This was after new rotors pads and calipers. Replaced master cylinder, that fixed it. If that did not fix the issue, it may be the booster pump. At least that's what I read about when I was Doing mine.
