APG Running Boards - Anyone have experience?

So I've never done running boards and have never needed them. I'm planning to do a Audi TT seat install (will post on that), so I need running boards to save the hip bolsters from being absolutely destroyed. I love the angular look of these.

Note: I don't go off road, so not worried about them fending off rocks.

Does anyone have any comments on these specifically?

Will bolt on running boards feel solid? (kinda skeptical that bolting to the cab is sufficient)

Most running boards bolt to the cab. They will be fine unless you are doing some serious offroading. One thing I would check is how many brackets on each side. Some of the cheaper running boards only have two. Not a fan of those as the board can flex in the middle and it only spreads the load over two points.

 

Please post pictures when you install these. I'm looking for some for my AC as well.
