Added these two to the collection recently:

And then the Chewbacca as well. I will post pictures when I am done. One bag left. This one wasn’t very fun - just a ton of pieces that are the same color trying to layer in detail. It’s cool and all but wasn’t a fun build……

    Interesting
Yeah - don’t think I’d have opted to do that one. But then again, Technic type stuff is more my jam

Just got this set done. Probably the closest I’ll come to owning and Aston.

Titanic update. Started January '24. Won't be done until February '25 at this pace.

I'm a nerd and ordered the Technic McLaren P1 seconds after it became available. For being an early purchaser, the GWP is this gimmicky P1 logo on a plinth. There's a crank on the side, and when rotated, the P1 oscillates back and forth and a "McLaren" logo pops up. Not sure when I'll get to the actual build, but I'm excited to add it to the collection of Technic Supercars :D

I bought this GT40 when I was on bed rest, but have been so busy I haven't had a chance to work on it till now.

For the cost, this was definitely worth it. No missing pieces, solid instructions, and an overall good build. My only negative is that some of the pieces are scuffed, however I would buy it again

Someone sent me an idea from instagram…..we have a basement space where the laundry room is that I have set up with a smaller sitting area, tv and surround sound. We also have the elliptical, ping pong table, etc…..

but the walls were always bare so I hung shelves to display the Lego sets that I have built. But it was bland and I wanted to liven up the space. I have the Jurassic park, raiders of the lost ark (one of the coolest sets I have ever built), and empire strikes back movie scenes…..with jaws on the way. So I decided to spice up the place a bit:

My son got this for his 6th birthday a little over a month ago and we barely put it together.

He did a lot of the back half on his own. It's pretty kickass!

My oldest turned 9 today. He’s a Lego fanatic. He’s always built years above his age without help, mostly the large Star Wars kits. Got him this today. I’m anticipating 3-4 hours tops.

I finally got my display set up and lights installed. Now it’s just a constant rearranging of sets.

They are IKEA’s modular besta system. It is like Lego. They have a site where you piece together what you want the cabinet configuration to look like and it builds a parts list. Place the order and back the truck up to their door. Easy process. Hauling 30+ boxes upstairs and putting it all together was some work though.

I was kind of wondering if they were Ikea. They look great. I'm going to have to look into those.
I've used Ikea Sektion kitchen cabinets in the garage at my last two houses. I glue them when assembling and they are rock solid. You could park a car on them.

Nothing yet except for some LED interior & exterior bulbs.
I played with Legos a lot as a kid and when my son got old enough we started building sets together. The most ambitious was probably "The Black Pearl" from Pirates of the Caribbean. Now he's a freshman in college, they grow up so fast. Like the song says, Don't Blink.

I have been happy with their products over the years. And they seem to last when taken care of.
If you open the IKEA besta planner, go to MyDesigns, and put in the design code V5MMDT you can play around with this design. I am not sure how long they save it so maybe it’s dumb of me to post it here.

That would have been an awesome build; anyone with the original Death Star or Millenium falcon are getting big bucks for those as well. My favorite build was the voltron set. Each panther transforms to form the defender of the universe!!! That one gets a few hundred these days as well…..but I enjoyed the build and to display
