Look at Tygers. They're not aluminum, but about a grand cheaper.

I don't care for the hang down steps. Not just visually, but it's a lower point to slow me down when I need to get through deep snow in the winters.

I could, but I don't need them. I don't plan to wheel like that anymore, and I really got to appreciate the boards on the Ferd. They did a moderately okay job at debris deflection and were perfect for accessing the cab. Great design.

But I'm in a wimpy V6 now. I need to save the weight! :D

I get that you don't "need" sliders but I was saying for the price of oem steps you could get a legitimate slider. That's ridiculous that Toyota wants that much for a crappy set of step bars.

But it's TRD and aluminum! /s

Yeah, I was thinking they'd be on par with the predator steps or the ones that are on it. It's highway robbery at 1200 bucks.

I live 12 hours north of the Can/US border, and only about 8 hours from legitimate tundra. So yeah.

Still got you beat. I'll give you a solid second place though.

Yeah basic running boards are silly now (unless you buy the Amazon type), almost as expensive as a good slider...

    Hey @GODZILLA

Check these out... Some guy posted this thread showing his faux sliders that mount up like a step, but they look damn good and were super cheap if you can find em for your 3rd Gen

    Best slider steps?

Appreciate it, but I want the top closed. I had open sliders on the 2019 and saw how much crud could be blocked with a full top plate.

This is a good plan. In the mean time I'll keep looking to see if there are others that would work for less money.

    Aluminum. (with steel brackets.)
Slap a TRD emblem on them and Bobsyeruncle. <--not to be confused with: warshyersister. :D
Only partially joking. They're better than decent quality and cheap.
    Got 'em on mine.

Those Tyger faux slider steps do look nice though.

I'm actually looking at these ones https://www.amazon.com/Rough-Countr...mzn1.fos.5998aa40-ec6f-4947-a68f-cd087fee0848 but mainly hunting for a take off set.

I might tag dealerships in the area to see if they have any take offs.

Those RC ones look a little "clunky" to me but, personal preference.
The APS boards tuck up pretty tight to the rocker and don't leave much ugly gap.

The product pics make it look that way, but if you go into the pics that show it actually installed I think it looks okay.

I like…and a bit of poke beyond the cab makes them the door catcher for the car next to you. Helps stop door dings. The steps on my Tundra poked out a bit and had a couple dings from some hard door hits from assholes parking too close. Made me laugh every time

I missed that part. Do you have pics you are willing to share? Angles from install/under the step would be greatly appreciated.

Used to rent canoes for runs on the Verde River in Arizona. Peaceful 3day summer runs through the wilderness area from Childs power plant to Bartlett reservoir were great fun. But when the river flooded in the winter it became a class 5. River runners came from all around the world.

I was gifted a few wagyu steaks. (I've never had this before)

    any recommendations on cooking?

otherwise, I will cook it as I do a steak.
