What have you done to your 1st gen Tundra today?

Pretty much the ~1200 miles so far with the new KO3s, seem to be doing pretty fine so far and ride good on highway. Lifeguard runs them too. My dad's RV has them and he likes them.

As Mamba said, I had clearance issues with some weights, plus sticky weights coming off.

 

Man, I really wish I would have read all these posts about how played out this grille and raptor lights are before I got mine. . . I can't figure out how to hook them up with the fuse tap thing without them staying on all the time anyway.

Well I just got them working. Gonna try to find that grille thread and maybe I'll just sell this one on CL.

 

Lights finally installed, they're pretty damn bright. Also the folks at my local ARE dealship basically told me im SOL for replacement parts on this beat up camper and especially for the back window seal where I have a leak in the corner. But they did give me free side trim pieces for my window. Before and after pics

 

That looks really nice but my truck's paint is chipped, has surface rust in places, and has these weird "scuff marks" on the doors. I'll try and get the wife to put up some pics. The stealership volunteered "a wax job would look nice" so we may do that..........IF AND WHEN we have the money. LOL

 

I've been offline for about a week due to a laptop virus jamming things up. A friend fixed it.

On the plus side I've been going to bed earlier.

Let's see....I've tried to keep mental note of things.

Yesterday was the first time we've needed 4WD. I was backing up the 18 foot trailer on grass and began to spin. She did great in 4WD HI: backed that trailer right up. The light blinked when coming out of 4WD but I had to turn the engine off right then. Light was out when we started back up.

Also yesterday the Tundra pulled the 18 foot trailer with about 2000 pounds of mowers on it. I guess the total towing load was about 4,000 pounds. She did great pulling the interstate hills. One of those is a 5% grade. I'd hit those at between 60 and 75 mph and she'd drop to about 50 mph by the top without me getting any more into the throttle.

Also yesterday we rolled the rear window down. It'll stop about halfway up but letting go of the button then pressing it again rolls it all the way up.

Happy to report the trailer electric port works. I know this since the new trailer has functioning lights.

That cargo lamp comes in handy when unloading at night. It goes off on its own if we don't do anything. I also figured out how to set up the interior lights to come on when we open the door. That's pretty handy also.

Put new wipers on her today. Noticed driver's side was ripped. Replaced just about everything at this point but she's doing the job fine.

 

You just Velcro the lights to the carpet or what?
