Doing some cut and paste over to a build thread for the Tundra. Ryans 06' day of purchase. My 03' T4R after years of hacking it up.

Next pics were of the work we did in Winter/Spring of 23' after a bender he had earlier in the year in 22'. A Coastal Off road Bumper was installed after the repairs with junk yard fender, hood and core support. That thread is here: Coastal Off Road Bumper.

This pic is somewhat recent. The junk yard body parts were rough, so he had the paint blended at Maaco and of course the change to 285/70s & TRD wheels. Not a fan of those rims, but I had them laying around from another project. Tried to talk him out of them lol.

Solo stock length, Kings and new OEM Alignment hardware going in this week on the Tundra. Already getting into the preload disagreement with Ryan lol. 650 springs, steel bumper w no winch so it might be ok for ride stiffness. First couple weeks will be interesting.

Don't have a press, so waiting on the spindles to get new bearings and hubs. TC Ball Joint Conversion is also going on. It's damn sure pricey, but a really nice piece of fab work. I never really knew about the ball joint issues with these trucks until we started looking into LCAs, but Ryan had seen enough pictures of right angle tires and rims, so he said fuck that.

"LE" as I call her has been getting neglected. Really great trucks though. I've driven her all over the country with out a single hiccup from the drive train. Tires, gas and oil....don't get much better except a million mile Tundra.

Besides the headlights...the early 5th gens are a forgotten treasure. The 2010 is probably one of the most trouble free 1st year redo models from any manufacturer. The 1GR-FE is becoming a good race platform also. Six bolt main caps and extra thick bulk heads.

Well my mechanic buddy was slammed and it took awhile to get the bearings pressed in the spindles, and we both put in a lot of work hours for the last couple weeks, so the schedule was pushed back. But the front is installed. 5th gen 4Runner Calipers also. Brake lines will be a SS line with a Banjo fitting once we're done. There really isn't much clearance for the OEM style steel line as you can see in the 2nd pic. Full steering lock puts the steel line precariously close to the coil over. Doing the rear brakes as well and hopefully back on the road soon.
