Depends which ones you're referring to, T30 and T55 are the two sizes I believe

Thanks for the info, it’s for the big one. Want to install Rago bed stiffners and need to pull a few bolts to do it

Did you remove the factory bedliner coating from the bed bolt and washer before removing? I am going to install Rago bed stiffeners and those bolts didn't budge at first attempt.

My question too. I’m about to torque all of mine to 36 as I think my rattle is coming from there but I can’t simple torque through the bottom, correct? I need to break/remove the coating and do it from the t55 up top?

Use a t55 up top. Loosen them all and then torque to 36lb. It’s a long bolt and takes a bit to break them loose. I did get an exacto blade and cut out the bedliner coating from inside the bolt head where the t55 torx inserts so it grabs.

is there anything that has to be held on the underside? Or just torque to 36 up top and good to go?

I planned to loosen them all, then grease around the bottom side connection, as well as under the washer up top, to see if I could kill this rattle in the bed.

Nothing on the bottom side. I think there is a permanent nut welded that the bed bolt threads to.

This is what fixed my rattle. Once all bolts were loose there was a "pop" kind of like a release of pressure. Retorqued and no rattle. I didn't grease but did spray a bit of pb blaster in each hole.
