Well old job called and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Moving back to western Wa only after 11 months in the tri-cities. Moving is going to suck but at least they’re paying for relocation.

Excited to get closer to the ocean and Olympic peninsula. Summer trips will be fun.

Moved for a slower pace of life. Got a job that didn’t exactly workout on their end. We love visiting the tri-cities so we figured we’d try it out. Let’s just say the grass isn’t always greener…

Been talking with my old team for months and made a deal that was so damn good I couldn’t say no to.

Nice! I'm still thinking of a move but it's hard when you don't have to worry about a job only health care. Most move for job, family etc. Love the coastal weather, northern Utah and Northern Idaho. Decisions...

Thanks! Wife and kids are excited to get back to friends and family. My 5-year-old calls it the wet side too. It cracks me up.

Well my truck (Gandalf) met his match today. Pulled out a Fedex truck last week and UPS a few days ago that got stuck (snow/ice). Today the Fedex truck got stuck on our main road in a moderate ditch on an incline with solid ice on the road/10” of snow on the sides. Could get it to move a bit with a 30’ snatch strap but couldn’t get out of the ditch haha. Feel defeated! Guess it’s winch time, although he said the trucks curb weight is 10k lbs so beyond any normal winches for 1/2 ton truck or Jeeps capacity.

Looks like we will be in moderate flood stage Monday here. Have a windstorm Sunday 45mph and another overnight Monday 45mph. Exciting weather times! Last windstorm realized my bigger saw (MS362 25”) isn’t ideal for the real big stuff that falls over, need to go buy a 461/462 and a 32-36” bar.

Just saw that we are going to have 45-50 mph gusts across the sound. Saturated ground with high winds. Ugh!

Crazy weather as on this side of the mountains we are pushing 60 degrees all week it looks like. Gave me a chance to install my remote starter.

Forward looking camera, Stub Antenna, 3M clearshield. A few other non lifted items.
Left for AZ for a week, nice golf course outside the villa (I was once a golfer), a visit to the botanical gardens, and a Mariners game versus the Diamondbacks. Nice change from the wet weather. Cheers. Good restaurants down here also. Wife is taking an art class here.

Yeah surprisingly we have power, it went off for a few seconds. We have alot of smaller trees down and one blocked my neighbors. Lots of sections here with no power and some flooding with road closures. It seems like anywhere near the water got blasted.

We lost power for about 4 or 5 hours last night... and the top half of a freakin' tree snapped and took about 20' of fence w/it

A 362 is a great saw. I normally have a 20” bar on mine. Sometimes i’ll throw on a 25” for a few quick trees. Most of the time if i have multiple large rounds to buck, i break out my 660 with a 36” bar. Though a smaller saw could still do it, i REALLY like the torque that my 660 provides. I think if you’re wanted to pull a 32” or 36” bar, a 661 would do the job a whole lot better than a 462.

I think you’re right, 59cc to 70cc isn’t a big enough jump, gonna go look for 660/661s haha. Definitely more rare! I have some 4fters out there in my woods. This one has me tempted:

Well here in Kitsap we were just notified by PSE that power will be restored by 2/27 @9pm...Hopefully sooner!
My neighbors across the street have power in Pierce County on Peninsula light. It sucks as they rarely loose power. I lose power about 4 times a winter. I could have switched but it was $$$ too much. It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't on a shared well and my neighbor doesn't have power. I even offered to help wire a transfer. At least I have emergency water.

I really love my 660. I have a teeny-tiny Stihl MS 180, 261, 362R, 660R. All are the carb’d versions. Both the 362 and 660 have Bark Boxes on them. I run a 16” bar on the 261, mostly 20” and sometimes 25” on the 362, and 25” and longer on the 660.

The 362 is a great saw, but many people find it underpowered. I suppose it would feel underpowered when you compare it to a more powerful saw (duh). The MS 400 is more powerful and is built off the same platform as the 362. Many of the parts on both of those two saws can be interchanged with each other. I spent a few hours bucking up a couple cords with his brand new MS400. I liked it enough that i was planning on selling my gently used 362 and buy a 400 last fall. But then i got wind that stihl is planning on discontinuing both the 362 and 400 saws, and replace them both with their yet to be released MS400.1 saw. The 400.1 is supposed to have more power than the 362, but a little less power than the current 400. BUT, it’s supposed to have more torque than the current 400 model. It’s supposed to be lighter weight too. I don’t see that it has a wrap handle option though. The saw was very recently released in europe. The US probably won’t see the new 400.1 until spring of 2026 at the earliest. I’m going to plan to go after that one when it’s released…as long as it gets great reviews from all of the europeans.

Hey NW homies… I need some stuff out of my garage. Free free free… meet you somewhere around Kirkland/Bellevue.

Got these off Amazon last fall. Used them once and the nozzle pissed me off so I got something else. Diesel only…IMG_5941.jpg

Got this Curt receiver basket about a year ago for camping last summer and never used it. Never even opened the box. Now that I have a 3/4 ton Tundra with a larger bed, I don’t need it. IMG_5942.jpg

Pretty pumped to find Great Notion at the grocery store today. Four different ones but only picked up two this trip.

Had the Bicycle Day yesterday with dinner. Pretty good even though the neon green threw me off at first.
