I recently purchased a 22' Tundra platinum and ended up needing the engine replacement after just a week. My vin wasn't apart of the current recall but it was exhibiting some signs after an oil change so they decided to take care of it. The service advisor told me the recall used to take quite some time because all the seals were backordered but that was resolved and it would take 2-3 weeks max. It has now been almost 2 months and they still haven't received my new engine with no ETA in sight. Was wondering if this is typical wait times of other people currently going through the recall process. I am getting no info from the dealership and they never answer/return phone calls. Not sure what to do

I just picked mine up. I dropped mine off on a Tuesday afternoon and it was ready that Friday. It wasn’t scheduled ahead of time either. Last week I was getting a new engine battery and they asked if I wanted to go ahead and get it done, so I said sure. Running good so far. Was not real impressed with a 2 1/2 year old cranking battery already needing to be replaced, but that’s beside the point
