I hope the truck serves you well. Keep us up to date on it, and thanks for starting this thread.

ETA: Now that I think about it, if the quality was bad, wouldn't that allow you to UPGRADE to better gear and equipment inside the truck? Now you have an excuse?

Reading one day, that some places mostly out of the USA. Are trying to ban LED lights. Harsh on oncoming traffic. Just like those dam F250-350. With their double lights.

If it were upgradeable stuff to fix the quality, sure. It's the actual materials for the dash, the seat popping during turns, etc. That are the issue. It's foundational quality that I doubt.

And the transmission going weird for the second time.

Oh, I spent it on a solid upgrade going to the Limited over the SR5.

Technically I've already "modded" it. I hate 20" wheels, and that's all the limited cones with, even with the off road package. Well, my sales guy's coworker drives an SR5 TRD off road and she was actually looking for all black 20s. We swapped the wheels, so we are both happy.

Yeah ya know, I don't know why manufacturers have to end things that worked. I guess they are trying to keep up with the Joneses. It's a shame.

Working for the customer and working for the business/shareholder are frequently scenarios that are at odds. If you think about which one any company prioritizes then you can easily figure out "why manufacturers have to end things that worked."

Add in government rules and regs motivated by leeches seeking to line their own pockets, and lots of good products are made worse or discontinued.

Agree. I do like some of the modern designs. But I guess I am in the, "If it isn't broke, don't fix it."

But, I am just a buyer.

Very good points and I would say perfectly accurate. Customers are gonna be customers. Shareholders are a different story.

Yep, I'm right there with you, if it isn't broke, don't fix it. But yeah, no one is going to be consulting me on what they're gonna do.

Agree. However, IF I am ever called up to ask my opinion and to consult, I would probably start off looking like a deer in the headlights, :eek2:
