Interesting. I had the same issue. Although the new clock spring got my cruise control working again, my airbag light is still on. Sounds like I need a new one?

    New one what?

I'd think scanning the truck SRS computer to find out what sensor is giving you grief would be the 1 st step.

If you got cruise and a horn, that makes me think the ribbon cable is functional.

    Keep us informed.

I just replaced the SRS ECM and so far the light is off. If it stays off after a couple hundred miles when all the computer systems are reporting, I'll know it was the only remaining issue.

For anyone who may need to do this job, here's what the process looked like -- fairly easy 30 minute job if you have a bench seat/column shift truck. If not, you'll have to dismantle the whole center console and all the shifter trim, so that will add some time and effort but still pretty DIY friendly. Check this thread for the extra steps in that case.

Where it's located -- directly below the center stack, bolted to the transmission tunnel. It's the little module where you see the yellow wire harness at the bottom (after removing the bottom trim piece it's right there):
    signal-2025-04-26-141627_002.jpg

Three 12mm bolts to remove -- front one was where I'm pointing in this pic, easily removed from the front:
    signal-2025-04-26-141627_004.jpg

Other two bolts in back -- front circle is where I removed one, other circle is the one that was still in. The one I removed was easy to get to from the passenger side footwell:
    signal-2025-04-26-141627_005.jpg

If you want easier access to the last bolt, you can remove this as it gets in the way a little. I just slipped my hand behind it and found the hidden bolt by feel. This one was from the driver footwell.
    signal-2025-04-26-141627_006.jpg

Easiest way to slide the computer out and new one in is from the passenger footwell:
    signal-2025-04-26-141627_009.jpg

Couple of quick notes I didn't mention yet:
    • The single cab, double cab and crewmax each use a different computer module for the airbag system, I'm pretty sure I have these right:
      • CrewMax: 89170-0C361
      • Double Cab: 89170-0C311
      • Single Cab: 89170-0C272
    • Use the shallowest 12mm socket you have, it's tight under there.
    • You can take all 3 bolts out with a ratchet, but I could only tighten the rear driver side one back up using a 12mm box end wrench due to socket depth.
    • There are a lot of wires but it's all one big connector, which releases with the white plastic clip circled in the picture below.
    signal-2025-04-26-141627_003.jpg

Hopefully that helps someone else out in the future.

Other thing I did today was replace some rusty tailgate hardware -- striker plates and the bolts that the cables attach to. Also sanded the small amount of rust off that was on the hooks at the ends of the cables.

It is amazing how much better a vehicle can look just by replacing small parts like rusty striker plates, etc.

    thanks for the compliments!

Now I know how our wives feels about shoes and bags. It took me forever to pick a color. but I knew I wanted gold and to keep the rings chrome.

huge shout out to @bmtrujillo98 who had a local guy to him that powder coats chrome for a decent price. I shipped him my rings and he got them done and back to me and didn't want anything in return. I just covered the costs.

I am proud/embarrassed about how little I have into these!

I got the set for $200 off offer up, amazing find and I was so nervous that someone was going to message the seller and advise him of what he was selling or offer him more. most nervous hour of my life picking these up.

powder coat was $400, rings $200, tires $1000 (here in the marketplace).

So $1800 total for freshly powder coated rock warriors with 35" toyos (90-95% tread left with a 5th spare)!

I also have a billet third brake light project in the works.... stay tuned

Do any of yall keep having the same problem with the springs to push the pads out? I swear mine never stay very long. (yes I know it only calls for one of the 'springs' but I put two in hopes they would stay)

Did the Amazon skid plates come with hardware? I want one simply because I am so sick of having to drop the factory plate for every oil change.

Does the RCI skid cover the oil drain bolt? Or do I need to get that one and the tranny skid?
