Cape Lookout NC... have you camped there?

Heading back out there this coming weekend with a great group of friends for a long weekend of fishing and bourbon sampling. This will be the third year in a row for this trip. This is a total primitive beach camping trip. Ferry service to the island and pack everything in you need for the time you will be there. Camp on the beach, eat what you catch. Your closest "neighbor" is usually about a 1/2 mile away. This is truly a beautiful place to camp.

 

We've been twice. Last time was 2021. How's the bugs this time of year? I've been warned it can be unbearable. We only go in late September or early October.




The first year we went it rained most of the trip and we hid under our tarps.
