07 tundra drives forward in reverse and neutral

Truck drives forward in reverse and neutral. 2007 tundra with a 4.0 engine. No codes. Any thoughts? Fluid seems brownish.

 

Are you sure about the engine?

I wonder if you have a shift linkage issue.

 

Yes I’m sure about the engine. 4.0 v6. I checked the shift linkage first thing and it’s fine. Every light also comes on for park reverse neutral and so on when it’s selected.

 

Anything you found to fix this problem same thing is happening to me and haven’t been able to find a solution

 

So I’ve been having the same issue and from what I read elsewhere it could be a burnt clutch. Seems like this guy had it on two of his tundras and on both the clutch plates were pretty much bonded together from the heat and friction. So either rebuild or by re-manufactured is my next step.
