Selling my TWC muffler with Helmholtz resonator. I installed this on the truck in November 2024 and have about 1-2k miles on it, max.

The piece is still in like new condition with all hardware and shipping materials included.

Too loud?

 

Here are a couple of snaps I took of it today.

Also, not sure if it warrants saying, but there is no rust whatsoever on it. Any coloring is just the metal turning an amber shade.

 

It’s really not loud. Louder than stock, certainly, but for me, I just realized I’d prefer the silent truck.

It sounds fantastic when you get on the throttle.

 

Hmmm - interested and may be back down that way next week.... I assume it works on a TRD Pro/ Hybrid...

 

Awesome. You’re correct, this is compatible with all gen 3’s.

It is a slip on, which means you cut your stock exhaust pipe in front of your muffler and this slides on. This style of muffler allows the stock y-pipe to remain, which is beneficial to the torque band. It then bolts on to your axle back, which is the rear-most section of your exhaust.

I cut my stock pipe using a chain pipe cutter (was like $20 on Amazon) and it took me 30 mins, start to finish of install.

Is it like a "throaty" sound if you know what I mean? The stock pipe can't be removed, it needs to be cut? I just bought a '25 Limited and thought about making it louder (I wanted to do same on my Tacoma but never did). Thanks.

 

It is throaty. On YouTube, there are a bunch of videos with the owner running it and a how-to on installing it. Also, this guy, https://youtu.be/10Ue0xEY4Jk?si=lYdX84JdNNWc6OI0 has a decent video of the install and sound.

Regarding the install, it’s VERY easy to do and it was very easy to reverse it at a shop. I paid $80 to have my stock welded back on when my wife decided she like my truck to be silent.

There are times when you don’t even hear it. It sounds fantastic when you get on it. Low and throaty.

 

TRD L Power I'm trying to find info on this company and I'm getting nowhere. I find no website and/or FB page. Do you have any info or link besides the YouTube vid? Also, I assume this would fit on a 2025 Tundra CrewMax? Thanks!

 

Buy this one. But dont do business with them directly. They changed their name for a reason...dude took customer's monies and didnt ship or hasnt shipped anything for MONTHS. He consistently bashed and name called his own customers. If you want new, go with Atlantic Built instead....very similar setup and they have been good so far.

 

eddiefromcali Thanks for that info and it's good to know. Thought it to be suspicious when I couldn't find nothing on the web. I didn't plan on buying directly from the company but wanted to find more info on the muffler itself and maybe the original cost since I have nothing else to go on. I was considering this one from the OP. Thanks again!

 

The system is solid - none made better - only issue was the builder seems to have gotten in over his head and was/is not delivering as promised. I have one - no issues with it whatsoever and I had no issues with delivery, but that was over a year ago. OP is a standup person and as he notes he is simply looking to go back to factory sound. Want more pics of the system look my post up in the Colorado thread. I'm a believer in the system - just unfortunate the builder went off the deep end.

 

Thanks guys! As others mentioned, the guy who makes these is not the greatest to deal with, however, the product is top tier.

I would also not recommend purchasing this from him, however, this is several hundred dollars cheaper than it was new, and it’s in great shape, and you’re not supporting him .

Anyone that sees this post should see the thread regarding this company and the fabricator that made this exhaust. I'm sure it's a nice piece. The business owner is a piece of work, though.

 

Hey all. My apologies on the delayed response. I hadn’t noticed the replies here.

The boxed dimensions are 48x13x13 and the packaged weight is ~23lbs.

So far I’ve seen estimated shipping between $55 and $150 (NY and Oregon, respectively).

 

It’s a shame the guy is such a jerk; he really seems to be talented and definitely makes a nice exhaust system
